SteltonTheo French Press, Stone, Black, 18 x 10 x 19 cm

I bought this for the sole purpose of brewing yerba mate at home, and it works great for that. My brew is so strong I have heart palpitations on the regular!

nice nordic design

Overall this is a very beautiful and functional French press. It works well and cleans up a bit more easily than other French presses Ive had. There is one flaw that is significant though. The lid is made of bamboo which is very permeable to water and it is untreated. It split within a week of use. I never left the lid exposed to water other than during normal cleaning and drying. I never soaked it. Mind you there is a plastic barrier between the lid and the coffee. I don't know how it got wet enough to split but I never dropped it so thats all I can think happened. I don't mind paying for design if it is high quality and functions well but this cost three times as much as I could have payed for a stainless steel press that would have been near indestructible. I wouldn't buy it again

Love the look of this French press so purchased but it squirts hot coffee and grinds EVERYWHERE when you go to plunge. I think the added spout piece has something to do with it not working well. Get another one unless you want to clean up coffee mess every morning. Too bad because it's gorgeous and nice quality ceramics.

Eine Gebrauchsanweisung wäre wünschenswert. So muss ich rumprobieren. Das Design ist traumhaft. Ebenso die Haptik. Eine nordische, schlichte, praktische Kaffeepresskanne!
