This was a size I needed to work as both to seal and relieve stress on an extension cord repair
This was a size I needed to work both to seal and relieve stress on an heavy extension cord repair. Worked perfectly to install a new female end. Shrinkage was as described but next time I might select a 3 to 1 version of the material. I love a learning curve!

some time larger is just required
if you do any loom work or work with larger gauge wire you know that normal Heat Shrink will just not do!!I am working on rewiring my 19655 VW and to get everything nice and neat I used a lot of heat shrink. and to keep individual bundles of wires going through the same path I had to use the magnum heat shrink This allowed me to keep things neat without the use of electrical taps that tends to come apart over time in the heat. if you require large diameter heat shrink, look no further.

I bought this tubing to cover my battery pack that I made for my HP-67 calculator ( 3 NiMH AA cells ). I tried 3 times, but didn't work. I used an industrial heat gun not a hair dryer or soldering iron for shrinking, and here why.The tubing has a thicker wall which is okay, but it didn't shrink as describe 2:1 and the shrinking wasn't uniform so I end up taping the batteries instead of using the tubing.
