I bought this bag with a very specific purpose in mind, for use as a carrying case for the wine glasses I use while on the annual Georgia Wine Highway events.Though not intended for wine glasses, I've found the external pocket secure enough to hold both stemmed and stemless wine glasses of all shapes and sizes. The handy cinch strap keeps the glasses firmly in place allowing me to swing it around my neck with ease or plop it on a seat in my car without a second thought.There's an additional flat, zippered pocket I use to hold festival passes, tickets (or the Wine Highway pass books) making this the ideal grab and go kit for back to back vineyards.Aside from the specific purpose I intended for the bag, I think this is perfect for carrying a water bottle into various parks, festivals, tourist hotspots etc while also having space to keep keys, cash, cell phone, souvenirs, etc.As one would expect, the build quality is excellent, durable yet light weight.Really the only downside in my mind is that with most ball parks, festival grounds and football stadiums requiring clear/see-through bags, you won't be able to take this everywhere.Otherwise definitely get it.

I love this fabric, it's durable but light. Design is cute. I do not like the water bottle compartment. It's useless for anything else and there's what feels like faux leather inside it. I also don't like the strap. It's adjustable but since it has the dog collar type adjuster it doubles up and it's annoying. I'm keeping this but wouldn't buy again unless they changed the strap.

What I liked about this bag was that you can definitely fit a water bottle. BUT the way the bag is constructed that the bag gets too heavy and it topples over. If you want to carry a small bottle then this will definitely work. I travel to NYC so a small bottle does not work for me. This is a lovely bag and I had a hard time returning it. I had already read the reviews and I know that topple over was a concern so I made sure that tags and original packing was on and bag was not used. Sadly I had to send it back. Search goes on! UPDATE: I ended up repurchasing the bag. I could not find any other bag that met my needs so I will just have to carry a smaller water bottle. I recommend this bag,

purchased for travel but returned. Vera Bradley has nice products but the water area was too small and narrow to hold anything except a sandwich. Water bottle holders need to have a squarish bottom, to accomodate at least a 16 oz bottle.This one was rectangular . The strap was flimsy and when a water bottle was placed inside the bottle did not remain upright. The fabric was pretty and the phone pocket was nice.

I now have 2 of these bags, rotate them for the season or wardrobe. Perfect for taking to theme parks!

So a totally NOT Vera Bradley bag arrived. It's OK quality if the bag what I thought I was buying. But the bait and switch and marked up price is super not ok. Disappointed because it was a gift. Will likely return.
