Nice Shine and Holds Up Well
I purchased this wax as part of a complete car finish overhaul solution using pretty much all Meguiar's products from the claybar to the Ultimate Polish, Ultimate Quick Detailer spray and micofiber clothes. I did reviews for all of the products I used, including the polishing pad, except for the claybar which I purchased from a local store last year. The claybar works well so I can recommend that too. I have tried other Meguiar's wax products like the NXT 2.0, which I did not care for, and find this wax to be their best hands down. I used the included pad to apply the wax versus a machine and the Meguiar's microfiber clothes to remove it. I found it relatively easy to apply and remove although it took some effort when the sun started to go down and the wax was not drying well enough. On that point, regardless of what the instructions may say, I prefer and have the best results when I apply wax to a completely cool surface. Especially if it's black like my car. When I say cool I mean completely cool. When applied on a cool surface and left to dry completely, it comes off easily. I normally finish a wax job with some Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer anyway to bring out the final shine so it takes care of any smudges or wax residue left behind. I did a review on the detailing spray last year. The wax has been on for a few weeks now and has been through about four washes with, of course, Meguiar's Gold Class car wash, and is holding up very well. After washing I go over it with the detailing spray using the microfiber clothes to bring it to a nice shine. I suspect it will hold up for a few more weeks or more. I'll be sticking with this wax for sure. Has a nice smell too. Let me also mention, the wax only works as well as the car finish will let it. That goes for pretty much any wax. If you are serious about getting your car to look it's best you must and I mean must, start with a claybar. Period. Or you are wasting your time and will not get the best out of any wax. You may also need to use rubbing and polishing compound too depending on the results you want. Just saying. And no I do not work for Meguiar's. I have tried a lot of car care products through the years and while I am not expert, I just happen to like their product line - no not everything they make, but I think I have found a nice suite of products I can rely on and recommend to anyone who is willing to put in the work and wants good results.

WORTH IT!
This wax is way worth the money and deserves 5 stars for the price, ease of use, and quality/durability. Maybe it isn't the absolute best wax on the market (I have not used many), but of the ones I have used it is extremely easy to apply, remove, and has great longevity. There is virtually no residue, but you can tell the wax is working immediately after buffing. I even used it on my rims and headlights; they have both been easier to clean after applying. I live in Cincinnati and we experience very high amounts of pollen and other air contaminants. I do not have a garage so my car is constantly exposed to the elements. Even living on a busy street with lots of trees and flowers, I can run a microfiber towel over my car every day after waxing (as long as it does not rain) and the dirt wipes away with ease. It looks like a freshly detailed car every morning; I have never gotten that with any other wax. I'm talking five days later, if there is no rain and even with my daily commute, my car looks like the day I detailed it if I give it a once over with a microfiber towel. Let me say that the wax really does go a long way. You do not need a lot of product. Remember, no matter how much wax you apply, only a certain amount can bond to the clear coat; the rest simply dries up and is wiped away. So do not over use the product or you will be wiping money away. It is designed to be used minimally with maximum bonding and protection of your paint. I have an 04 Infiniti I35, so full a size sedan, and i used about a quarter sized dot over the entire trunk, and about twice that for the entire hood;I had about 3/4 of the bottle left after doing the entire car for the first time. This product really spreads easily, but even with a super thin layer incredible water beading and longevity ensues. I also recommend waiting a bit longer for the wax to dry than the bottle states. I waited 5 mins at first, but after beginning the buffing process realized the wax had a little ways to go before it was fully cured. This will depend on air temp, humidity, and amount of direct sunlight vs shade. I recommend testing a small area after 5 mins, then deciding from there whether it needs more time or not. I ended up waiting about 10 more minutes (so 15 total). If it wipes cleanly and easily without smearing, it is ready, but if smearing occurs wait another 5-10 mins. The included microfiber towel is large and of good quality. The applicator sponge fits comfortably in your hand and can be rinsed and re used. I used a clay bar and Meguiar's Ultimate Polish before waxing with this product, and recommend you do the same before waxing. Take a full day and do it right; wash, clay, polish, and wax. I am amazed at the way my car looks and now see a completely new spectrum of colors in the paint. I think the color is called Diamond Graphite (only had the car a few months it is a light blueish silver) but either way my car looks every thing from bright silver, to gun metal gray, to a light pearl blue, to a greenish silver. I can not believe the paint is original and 10 years old. The clay bar and polish really brought it back to life, the wax is simply protecting the paint now.... and doing a great job! I will never use another wax again. Highly recommend and be sure to clay and polish before waxing for stunning results.

BEST Wax I have ever used!
I LOVE this wax!!! My Pride Runs Deep (Submarine reference) and that also applies to my car-care. I have used a large variety of waxes in my life to which some werechallenging to remove...this wax is by far the easiest wax to apply and remove (not counting a spray wax). The instructions are clear about applying a thin layer and I recommend following the instructions in this case. Once a slight haze develops, wipe and buff. Super easy to use!! LOVE the shine!!! Longevity; After a few weeks, I finally took my car to the Automated Car Wash and found my smooth touch had dissipated but was still beading the water and the shine was still strong. Because I enjoy a detailed and shiny car, I use the Meguiars Ultimate Detailer in-between waxes....that helps with keeping the smooth to the touch and adds a nice layer to easily to remove road crime later....plus the added shine is nice! Application; My preference is to use my hands rather than power...I have read other reviews stating it works well using a Power Polisher...for me, I can attest this wax is great without using power. Easy on....easy and shiny off! My car is White with lots of black plastic accents....I used this stuff on those areas too with a fantastic result. Removing the wax was just as easy as on the paint. It also left the black looking real nice and smooth to the touch. After driving and dusting off later....the dirty plastic areas was super easy to clean off. using the Detailer spray works great on this stuff too!! Recommendations; Do NOT cover too much area at one time. Do the entire hood and go back and remove-buff, then move onto another area. I have discovered, the hard way....I applied a thin layer to an area, got distracted by my kids then tried to remove the wax and had to use a few spritz of water to help get it off. The results were not good so I reapplied to that area and removed thereafter before it dried completely and all was well. Just do medium size areas, remove-buff then move on....don't wait long or it will dry too much which turns into a real pain to remove. If you feel more is better, then go over the same area again with a second layer after removing the first. So far, my experience has shown me a single coat is all I need as anything more did not shine more nor did it last any longer after the car wash. I totally recommend this wax....my car was purchased new and strongly feel this will keep it looking great!

A great convenience product.
First, I'm giving this product 4 stars because I haven't had a chance to test the durability of this product. I may upgrade the rating later. I bought this product because my Ranger has a LOT of exterior vinyl. Use the wrong wax and the vinyl will stain and sometimes it's not easy to fix.. Trying to avoid all that vinyl while waxing becomes very tiresome so when I heard that Meguair's Ultimate Liquid Wax (MULW) didn't stain vinyl I bought a bottle. That this wax can be applied out under the sun is a nice feature as well. I bought this from Amazon on Friday and on Monday it was on my doorstep. A Prime membership is one of the best investments I make each year. I decided to give this product a severe test and waxed several border areas making no effort to miss the vinyl. A few minutes later I buffed it off and I was satisfied that this wax will be my go-to wax for transition areas at least. The waxed vinyl appears to have a deeper color and is not shiny. I also applied the wax to a portion of my repainted tonneau cover and it worked just fine coming off easily and without leaving behind streaks. I could easily do my whole ride with this product if I wanted. There have been numerous complaints about MULW on detailing boards because of streaking and I'd like to say that streaks seem to happen when the product is applied too heavily. Heavy applications waste product and make the wax difficult to buff. You have to apply a light coat and when I say a light coat, I mean that you should be barely able to see the wax. If you can see it easily, you put on too much. Unlike the paste wax, the foam pad Meguair's supplies is pretty decent. It's not a sandwich-type pad, that's to say two thin pads separated by an air space so I decided to use the pad. Proper pad preparation is important as well for a good result.. I put down a circle of wax halfway from the center to the edge and used my finger to spread the product evenly over the surface. Once the pad had the wax completely covering the application surface, I added about three additional drops to the pad and began to apply the wax. I did not have to add additional wax until I'd waxed the running board and two chromed wheels. Another two drops was needed for two more wheels and a running board. See what I mean about applying it thin? Follow these instructions and you can do a whole car with about an ounce (probably less) of this wax and one microfiber towel for buffing. After I finished waxing, I put the pad inside two sandwich bags purging as much air from them as possible so that the pad will not dry out. If you apply this wax properly, you should be able to get 20+ applications out of a bottle. If you're only going to use one wax, this product should be on your short list.

THE BEST MAINSTREAM WAX
This is my favorite wax. I've tried many different options over the last 20 years - carnuba, pastes, other liquids, wax as you wash, wax as you dry and this is the best hands down. Extremely easy to apply (I like terry applicator sponges instead of foam.) Wipes off just as easily with NO DUST. Much easier to clean off of plastics / rubbers than anything else I've tried as it doesn't leave any residue, streaking or matte effect as long as you wipe it off in a reasonable amount of time. The SMELL IS INTOXICATING - if they could make it into a cologne or deodorant I would buy it! Lasts long enough (5-6 months with frequent car washing) before water stops beading. I get at least 3 waxes out of a bottle (2 coats each wax, wait a few hours in between coats) and only ever need one towel for wiping as there is little build up or dust. Therefore I think this wax is very economical even though it is more expensive then your average wax up front (and is easy to find in a store too.) Also to boot, there is no amber hue that you get with some carnubas / pastes. There might be something better out there or more exotic, but for the average public I think this is the best thing going. Meguiar's - please keep making this forever and don't change a thing!

From an oxidized matte finish to a glossy almost new look
I neglected my 2000 Ford Ranger(white) for over 5 years of sitting outside in the Florida sun and rain. The truck was green with mold which had to be scrubbed off with a brush. There was no shine to the finish and water immediately wet the entire surface without a single bead. I purchased the Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish and Ultimate Wax after watching a Youtube video on the differences between the Mequiar’s Ultimate Compound and the old school TW brand. The results are simply amazing. I followed the instructions to the letter, using a HF DA, doing 2 sq. feet at a time. The finish immediately improved with the Ultimate compound (3-4 overlapping passes). The surface was smooth and shiny but not veryglassy until I used the Ultimate polish (3-4 overlapping passes). You can actually feel the difference in the surface after apply the Ultimate polish and the color is richer and deeper. You need to immediately wipe the polish off, do not let it dry on the surface, it will be difficult to remove. Wetting it down with a water mist will help should you not remove it before it dries. The Ultimate wax is unique and does not really leave any “white haze” and you start to wonder if you applied any wax or not to that area, but the water bead is as good as any other wax. This lack of white haze is nice because it does not make your rubber trim white as with other traditional waxes. 20oz of Ultimate compound and polish covered my Ranger and Volvo. The wax came 16oz and I needed a few more oz’s to finish the 2nd car. Overall, the Mequiar’s three step system is a little higher in cost but worth every penny.

Any wax looks plenty good enough for me
I'm a driveway waxer on weekends. Normal guy looking for protection over anything, as my truck sits outside all day and night. Any wax looks plenty good enough for me, even trusty old Turtle Wax from a can. I've been in a waxing frenzy lately, wanting to get the truck protected before winter hits. I first went with the NXT 2.0 tech wax, and it went on super easy, and came off even easier. I was impressed, it looked great and also seemed to keep the water from sitting. Only issue I had was it was not safe for the trim on the truck, if you hit it, you're left with white junk all over. Enter the Ultimate Liquid Wax. Supposedly is better than the 2.0 and is okay to get on plastic trim. I feel it's easy to put on, no issue there, but it seemed to require a couple extra rubs to wipe off. By no means is it a problem, but noticed. I do all waxing by hand so I pay attention to the application. I also use minimal product. The truck looks the same to my eyes, but the protection seems to last longer with the Ultimate. Big selling point is the fact that it's safe for black trim, don't have to be shy around the edges. I also apply this the same way I did with the 2.0, did the whole truck then wipe away. Some say to do a section then wipe, some say do the whole vehicle then wipe. This way is faster and I'm fine with the results. So, great product and easy on and off. Safe for plastics too.
