Great set!
My son got into playing chess and this was perfect. It's all leather with a snap closure and cut foam to store each piece in its proper place. The pieces and board are slightly magnetized so everything stays put if you're playing on the road or the board gets bumped. Some of the pieces look a bit rough as far as wood carving is concerned. The horse's eyes are manic. Despite that, it's perfect!

Very cool and unique
husband wanted to teach our son to play, so looked for a cool chess board for them. He wanted one thats portable, so this ticked that box. It's also leather or faux leather, which gives it a cool look and soft feel. I also wanted it to be magnetic so the pieces dont fall if they play on the couch or something so this one ticked that box as well. Def cool and def a nice gift if need be.

This is the perfect gift for a chess player.
I ordered this chess set as a gift for my great-grandson's 10th birthday. He is a "beginner" but already plays very well and is capable of winning against adult players. The set arrived about 2 days after the order was submitted, but both queens were missing and all the other pieces were loose in the storage compartment. I immediately communicated with the seller about the missing queens, expecting to receive 2 queens. Instead, within 48 hours, I received a brand new complete chess set. I could not be happier with the customer service response of this seller. The chess set itself is beautiful! My great-grandson loves it. It was the perfect birthday gift.

Amazing quality
High quality materials. Pieces are just as nice as the board. Magnetic board is an amazing feature. Very portable and travel friendly.

It’s a decent set
A few of the pieces had missing felt or the felt was partially peeled off. The board was pretty nice and the insert that holds the pieces, holds them snuggly. The pieces stick to the board okay, I can hold the board upside down and they don’t fall.
