The Giant Jumperee

After checking this book out from the library 3 times at the demand of my 2.5 year old, I ordered it for her. She loves this book. It is by far her favorite book. I first checked it out from the library because it was on a podcasters booklist who podcasts about reading aloud to your kids and how important it is. I only ever just let me kids pick out the picture books and I might grab a few that we’re outnon display. But this podcaster talks about the importance of reading good picture books to all ages, not just my 2.5 year old but my 7 year old. And by good pictures books, ones that I enjoy along with my kids. Well this book is definitely one!! We all enjoy it. I find myself making different voices for the different animals and sounds for the Giant Jumperee. It’s a lot of fun! Definitely would recommend this book for new parents, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary age kiddos. My 7 year old (and myself) read this to my 2.5 year old at least once a day, each.

This is the first book that I bought after learning about this author. I am now a huge fan! Her rhyming lyrics and great stories are imaginative and attention-holding. Since I have kids with dyslexia, this type of pose is great for them; and fun for the rest of us.I'd recommend buying on amazon.com/uk since the flow can be lost in the western adaptations. The only thing I found, and it is really minor, is the different wording between items. A trunk of a car in Britain is a "boot" in the UK (and probably other countries as well). It's easy to see how the American adaptation could affect the rhyming flow of the text.

Love, love this book! The surprise on both my 2 & 4 yr old grandchildren was wonderful to see at the end. Be sure to read aloud very animatedly. You can see the fright building in your little’s eyes…and then the punchline, perfect!

I bought this book as well as two others for my granddaughters ages 3 and 4. This was their favorite and we read it over and over! They loved the surprise ending as well as the different expressions used by the mysterious Giant Jumperee.

I just love this child's book. My granddaughter does too. Her mother read it to her that she memorized it and can "read" it to me perfectly! It also used such interesting verbs and adjectives. Great book to use to help your grade school child learn to be more creative in their writing, not using just "said" and "walked", etc.

I ordered this to read to my 4 year old grandson's preschool class because of the good reviews it received and I was not disappointed. The children enjoyed it and it held their attention. It is a fun book and the ending is a surprise. I would definitely recommend it and it's a great read aloud book.

My 3 year old grandson absolutely loved this book. They read it continuously and his words can’t even keep up with his excitement when he is trying to describe the book to me.

Eh oui, on peut avoir peur. Mêmes les plus grands, les plus costauds peuvent avoir peur. Mais parfois, il vaut mieux en rire, cela ne valait pas la peine de s'effrayer. Un récit bien sympathique, réclamé pour lectures et relectures par une petite fille de trois ans.
