Gull-Cat Bird Deterrent Cat Decoy

Actually bought 5 of these cats after trying several different options to rid my concrete dock of seagulls that just love dropping oysters and clams on it for ease of opening. The cats worked great and i havent kicked any broken shells off my dock in 6 months. I used dive belt weights to keep them in place.

Tried lots of pest control items and finally one that is doing the job . No bird problems any more! I move it around the dock on a weekly basis and have not had one problem. Love it and recommend it!Review update 5-2021. This has completely solved my bird problem, no more bird mess on boat dock. It still looks great after wintering over, outside on my dock. Wish I had bought years ago.

I needed help with woodpeckers and decided to try this "Gull Cat." It stopped 90% of the problems right away. If I bought another one for wider area coverage, it might stop it all! It was well packaged, snapped together easily and uses a common water bottle for weight. No bird goes near this cat. I tied it down for winds and to help discourage birds of prey that might wish to take it home for dinner. The designer made this for seagulls but it works in a rural area of southern Arizona for woodpeckers!

Bought these to scare birds that were crapping all over the patio, went out to find a bird sitting on the cat and crapping on it. don't know how they work elsewhere but I can't recommend them for black birds and grackles

I want nothing to do with guano on my boat so I use two of these guys on a 19' sailboat and I have no issues what-so-ever. I also use my boat every day which may help. Regardless, these guys couldn't be easier to set up each night and put away each morning plus they make for a fun conversation piece. They appear very realistic; many people will do a double-take and a few even stare for a few seconds trying to figure out if it's a real cat. They do need to be moved periodically, as the directions tell you. I have neighboring boats who have had less success with them because they leave their boat for months on end without using it or moving the cats.

The cat is an incredible lure to bring seagulls to your boat! Perfect for anyone who wants to provide hours of company for lonely seagulls while they defile your boat waiting for your return. My guess is the seagulls only leave after they figure out the cat isn't going to catch any fish for them. I took the photo of the seagull sitting 3 feet away from the cat ONE (1) HOUR after putting the cat on the boat. Since I’m returning the cat, I plan on giving the seagull the photo, along with a copy of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’ On Death and Dying, to ease his grief on the loss of his feline friend to work through his denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

It works well. I did read reviews and saw photos that were not representative of this product. It won’t scare a resting bird 20’ above your source. This is to prevent birds from “landing” on and “pooping”on your said property. Key is... you gotta move it around often. Birds, animals, fish... aren’t stupid.

Excellent product! We live on a large lake and sea gulls love to sit on our boat. Surveillance quite a mess of our canvassed, and the inside ! These cats now live on top of the boat while docked, and the sea gulls are gone! Iplacedbaggies of sand inside the cat cavity, and it is enough weight to keep them in place during storms.I would by these again. Worth every penny.

It actually works. Birds are staying away from my deck. The $20 surprise shipping fee I paid (above the shipping fee I paid up front online) when I picked it up sucked.
