These mild white fillets are so tasty - just serve on crusty bread with piquillo peppers or alone on crisp crackers. We like to add them to salads or simply skewer them with a pickle and an olive and serve to guests as a tasty tapa. Freshly plucked from the Atlantic and filleted by hand, these anchovies are marinated in extra virgin olive oil and white wine vinegar, with sliced garlic and parsley. The vinegar immediately pickles them, sealing in their fresh taste. Olive oil is added to introduce a smooth, silky flavor. They are not salty and have a much milder taste than traditional anchovies. Boquerones and anchovies are the same type of fish, the difference is that anchovies are heavily salted and boquerones are not. All boquerones are flash frozen soon after harvest to ensure they are safe to eat, then thawed and prepared. These boquerones have been chilled since they were harvested from the sea and packaged so that they arrive to you with pristine freshness. Keep them refrigerated and serve within a couple of days after opening.

Problem with leakage.
Should never had been shipped. The product leaked oil and turned rancid by arrival time. Awful taste. No problem, it was a small, misguided purchase - my bad.

Spain, revisited!
They were delicious! We loved them in the tapas bars and wanted to have them at home. But they do have a season and I had to wait 6 months for them.

Sunflower oil is the second ingredient on the label. ...
Sunflower oil is the second ingredient on the label. It's not listed anywhere in the product description. My wife is allergic and I chose these because others listed sunflower oil. So this is not trivial.
