I am still installing my new shower, but I got the drain installed now in this and the cement set and it feels very sturdy and does not squeak. My only surprise was the drain in this was a inch further from the side opposite of where the door goes. Not a defect of the shower, and they have the measurements on the listing. I had the option of cutting into the floor and cutting the ABS pipe to move it all a inch closer to the wall or I had clearance to move the wall out a inch so I did not have to cut into the floor and extend the ABS pipe a inch to the wall. I already had to cut out the old drain and that lowered the ABS pipe in the floor a inch, which I had to cut out with a dremel blade I got to put on my dewalt power drill. Once I had that cut out, I had to later cut it again down lower to put on a ABS pipe coupler and a small few inches of a ABS pipe I put on it to once again raise the ABS pipe in the floor to be flush to the surface of the floor in the bathroom. I waited to glue that until I got this shower pan to measure and make sure it was all going to fit. The drain I ordered that was plastic that Amazon suggested for this shower tub I returned as the threads on it kept skipping when trying to screw down the inner ring to seal in the rubber gasket inside over the ABS pipe in the floor. I ended up getting a brass 2" drain at the local hardware store for $17 (cheaper than the plastic one on Amazon) and while it has a stainless steel top instead of the black plastic, I like the look better now as I have a chrome shower door I got and went with chrome shower head and new shower handle. To extend the shower wall a inch out, I ended up going with 2x3 pressure treated boards as they happened to be 1.25" and added a gab so when I install the goboard foam boards on that wall it comes down flush over the shower lip so when I caulk it between and under that I don't have to cut out a space on the bottom of the goboard for clearance to make it fit. I have no complaints about this shower tub base. It looks good, feels good and feels very strong. It was not all that heavy either to carry up the stairs. The box it came in was beat up pretty bad, but the foam packing inside kept it safe and there was no cracks or breaks or any damage to the shower base. I will come back and update this review in a few months after I have the shower all installed and have used the shower to see how well it stays clean. What I like about the black color is I expect it will be easier to keep clean than the white.

I just installed my shower pan and I am really impressed with it. It arrived in a double box with plenty of ridgid foam protecting all important parts of the base. When I opened it and inspected the entire pan, I was surprised at how thick the fiberglass was. This is not like the shower pans you get from Home Depot or Lowe's and this is roughly the same price. I liked the quality of this product so much that I decided to buy their 5' x 34" shower pan for a other bathroom. I do about 3 bathrooms a year as a contractor and I will continue with the Dreamline brand.

Bought this for a remodel and replacement of a Bearclaw tub. It worked out great and was the best price around!

Very heavy sturdy shower bases for the money. Dreamline makes a good product.

Great shower base for the price, Strong. Maybe the only issue will be using a shower curtain instead of a door since the front lip is only about an inch high. The base is no slip surface which is slightly harder to clean if you have water issues. There are better but you will pay double or more, this is great for a second or guest bath.

Great product. Was double boxed and very well packed. No damage on arrival. After reading the specs and installation instructions on the order page for the product I was able to pre set all plumbing and it fit exactly as it was supposed. Very happy with out. Used mortar mix for under it as is norma and it has no movement or squeaking at all.

Originally, I gave this product 1 star due to the difficulty surrounding the return. However, after a few phone calls, I must say that "Sammy" has been most helpful.

Amazon pairs this with Durawall shower walls. They do NOT go together! Do not buy to go with Durawall shower!!!

I received this free delivery to my door in 3 days!! Home Depot sells this for $120 more and can only deliver in 21 business days!!! It came double boxed with foam protection. This is a perfect shower base for my needs. Please take note of the drain hole position BEFORE setting up your plumbing. It is centered only on the 48" side and is 15" center on the 32" side from the backwall...17" from the door. I highly recommend this!! Very happy!!!
