Well done movie. Must watch for Patriots.
This movie gives you a flavor of what could happen to the U.S. if the government get to powerful and corrupt. This really hits home when you think about our current president and what they have done to this country.

2nd star for the attempt... to say something?
Too little, waaaay too late. Looked like someone wanted to say something, about something... decided to make a movie about it, then forgot what they wanted to say... but made the movie anyway.Other than the that, the premise was ridiculous and unrealistic, and the acting was mostly terrible. If this were to actually happen in a manner similar to the beginning of this movie, there wouldn't have been a story. Long gone are the days of shootouts and our firearms will only be useful in protection from other low tech civilians. Even then, mehhh maybe??? When this happens, don't make yourselves martyrs for no good reason. If you're not on board, then survival will be all about stealth. training, knowledge, and their proper application through wisdom and faith, those are always our greatest weapons. I have no idea what this mess was looking to convey... but already, the powers that be, have weapons, tactics, and countermeasures in place that most of us coulkdn't imagine, much less be prepared for... and guns are useless against them.Sheesh... these people are all about guns and never mention anything useful like, water filtration, pumps, portable solar, Lifpo4 and lithium ion 18650 {better for cold weather} batteries, battery power tools, buck and boost converters, and electric vehicles. Theiy're easy enough to shield, or analog em. Or bury spare preprogrammed Arduino boards in a shielded box as backups. They're ridiculously cheap and Chinese vehicle control computers are cheap, easy to learn, and easy to modify. The message of this movie is outdated thinking that would just get us killed.

not a bad movie once you get into it,
Not the greatest movie, but interesting.

Ridiculous and Silly, but a Pretty Fun Movie
I saw this movie last night on Amazon Prime. It was free with commercials and I didn't mind sitting through all the ads. I love watching bad movies and this one was full of cheesy special effects, bad acting, conspiracy buzzwords, political strawman villains, typical action movie clichés, everything you would want from a bad movie. It is an entertaining propaganda movie that the tinfoil hat-wearing John Birch Society crowd who drink the Kool Aid of InfoWars, Natural News, and World Nut Daily would love.(Spoilers)The movie starts out with a montage of stock footage featuring unrest in the Middle East, snippets from speeches by Kissinger, Obama, Biden, GHW Bush, and Eisenhower's farewell address, complete with an appearance by David Knight of InfoWars (one of Alex Jones' colleagues). Gary Heavin plays a rancher named Charlie, a Cliven Bundy knockoff (He apparently doesn't have cattle stomping on desert tortoise habitat, isn't sending out militias to occupy wildlife refuges and threaten government employees, and asking if the Negro was better off under slavery). Alex Jones plays a U.S. senator who thinks Charlie is a nutcase, India Eisley (from Underworld Awakening) plays a liberal college student and a sheeple who also thinks Charlie is nuts, and Diane Ladd is the crazy grandma. The bad guy is a George Soros knockoff who discusses killing all the useless eaters in his spare time (they don't mention the fact that he's Jewish). He is in league with the president (who I assume is Obama) and the globalists who take down America's power grid with an EMP. The U.S., Russian, and Chinese militaries under the UN flag invade Charlie's ranch with a small army and Charlie and his militia massacre all of them (Remember that in 2016, the paranoid fringe of the American Right was opposed to Russian collusion). Only one member of Charlie's militia (a black guy) is killed in the battle. There's also some dialogue thrown in about GMO's, a crisis actor, and a brief reference to the Georgia Guidestones uttered by the Soros knockoff. I was surprised there were no lizard people in this movie. As a right-leaning centrist, I do sympathize with much of what conservatives believe, yet some parts of this movie totally disturbed me. The only thing terrifying about this movie is there are certain elements of our society who actually believe this stuff is real.Rating *** our of *****

Great premise...lacking in funds for the execution
From what I see in some of the reviews, some still don't understand what's been going on since 2020. But whatever. This movie has an ambitious premise...but very little means to properly execute what the breadth and scope of what the plot entails. The mix of excellent actors with not so great actors is unusual. The writing is uneven and filled with cliches, some of which are actually kinda cool. Some of the characters are sheer caricatures.... Like I said...no budget...the effects suck, the uniforms are all wrong, the military bearing is not credible etc. But 5 stars nonetheless for the effort because the underlying message is sound, and history is currently showing us that there are many truths in the premise of this little flick. Besides, Alex Jones as the POTUS, that's a must see. lol. I say, watch it.
