As enjoyable as the first
I enjoyed the first Fate book, which summed up the first season of the show. This one is a prequel that covers the characters' different points of view months before the show begins. It works well alongside the first book, despite being written by different authors. I especially enjoyed the backstory with Terra and Riven, as well as Riven and Sky's shifting dynamic. If you're a Riven fan, you'll like this. Beatrix's scenes were also fun. I liked getting in the heads of the characters to see their different mindsets before the events of the show began. The seeds are also sown for the Ricki incident, though it is not covered in the book. If you're primarily a Bloom fan, there isn't much of her here, which I was fine with. She dominates the first book. I found this a nice addition to the Fate world and it has me even more looking forward to the second season of the show. Oh, and my favorite moment in the book is the mention of technology as a fairy power. There is hope for Tecna yet!

Waste of your time
This book does not touch on the story of bloom except for one chapter and does not touch the story of Ricky blinding. I excepted more and was disappointed.

The book came shredded and the replacement is lost.
The book came all ripped up and when I ordered a replacement it immediately got “lost”.
