RIG Nacon Revolution X Officially Licensed Xbox Controller for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10, Windows 11 PCs with Hardware, Software Customization and Dolby Atmos 3D Surround Sound (Black)

I usually stay away from controllers that stray too far from the exact shape of the standard Xbox controller, but I wanted to try this one due to the back button placement. I got it for $58 on sale plus a coupon.Back buttons: perfectly placed, you don't have to adjust your grip at all, they are right where my fingers rest. They are nice and clicky with perfect resistance to avoid accidental presses. The best I've ever used, that includes the elite 2.Triggers/bumpers: these are a bit different than standard controller. Your finger stretches up higher to reach them, it's a actually a bit advantageous for my long fingers. They are also a shorter pull, which reduces the need for trigger locks, probably why they didn't include that feature... It's not necessary. But that also means it's not great for racing where you need half/mid pulls. The bumpers also sit more flush with the shell, it's be nice if they were raised a bit, but otherwise just fine.Face buttons: wider and flatter than standard. They feel about the same using them though.Sticks: fine resistance and accuracy, you get two convex and two concave. I wouldn't recommend swapping them often though, seems like they'd be easy to break. They are also very slippery, you need caps or slip on grips. You also get shaft wideners to optionally limit their movement... This is very dumb, you would never want to do that.Shell/shape. Different, but almost more comfortable that the standard series controller. It's wider and the grips are more parallel. Might not be great for small hands. I have very large hands and I'm liking it better that than the standard shape, which is a huge compliment. Kind of similar to the Razer V2 Chroma, but much easier to get used to.Mapping: two options. You can mapp the back buttons on the fly similar to Powera pro OR you can activate advanced mode and use the software on Xbox or PC. The app is very similar to using Xbox accessories, and you can do almost as much as you can with the Elite, and at least one thing it can't... RGB ring around the right stick.This contoller is wired, which makes no difference to me, I play on a monitor at my desk, but $100 is a lot for a wired controller. Try to find it on sale and it's well worth $60-$80.

Only thing lacking on this controller is physical trigger stops. Which doesn't bother me too much because you can adjust the trigger sensitivity in the software. And there is no included raised thumb stick with the controller which I solved by putting a raised thumbstick grip on. Other than this this controller is perfect

As someone who plays a lot of first person shooters over the past decade I have looked and used very many controllers this one I like a lot because not every fps game has in game software where you can change how your joystick aims. This controller does and it makes a difference in my aim significantly I mainly play destiny 2 which has no option to change how your joystick aims in game after tweaking the joystick in this controller software my aim is more some like aiming with a mouse instead of the normal choppy flicks traditional controller joystick aiming is. The reason why I gave it 3/5 stars is that controller is very cheaply manufactured compared to the default Xbox controller you’d get when buying a console. Which is leaves me speechless.

*update 2*Sam from Nacon reached out to me a few months back to let me know they may have a solution to what I was experiencing. They had me try an updated controller to see if my problems were fixed. Unfortunately I still ran into the same issue. Sam mentioned that there were people who were having issues like I was having with various other controllers on Reddit. we thought it was possible that the headset is causing the controller to freeze. So for research purposes, I bought a wireless headset and lo and behold, the freezing issue seems gone. I have been playing with a wireless headset for a few months and I haven’t had an issue with the controller yet. So if you have a wireless headset, you should not run into what I ran into at all. I am now adjusting my score based on this new information and the help Sam provided to a 4 star on this review . 3 for the controller because I do like it, but the drawback of it not being “compatible “ with certain headsets is a bit of a let down, but 5 stars for Sam and the Nacon team for reaching out and help solve what I was going through.*update*I received the replacement and I am still running into the issue where the controller will freeze up and not work unless you unplug and plug in the controller.Unfortunate because it is a very solid controller otherwise and may have been a go to controller.This may be due to the batch of controller from production. I may revisit this controller one day, but if you received the controller with the production date of oct 2021you may run into the same issue I ran into. I would be curious to see if anyone got a different batch and how it performs.I purchased this controller about a week ago and everything seemed ok. I set up the controller profile on the app, downloaded Dolby atmos, played some apex and thibgs were looking up as I may have found my go to controller. However, I’ve noticed this controller will freeze as in being non responsive. I can still talk and such in voice chat, the egg ring light on the controller will still be on, but you cannot move or also anything until you unplug and plug back in the controller. This happens during the game so imagine the frustration of being in a fight and your controller gives out on you. I’ve also tried on my PC and the same thing will happen.For now I cannot give this anymore than a 2 as I know sometimes things can be faulty, this isn’t a bad controller although I do wish button placement was a little better. Using a standard Xbox controller the elite or the power a’s and coming to this will take some getting use to, the controller app is fine, I know some people have complaints about it, but it’s a controller app, you can’t expect too much from it that’s going to make a drastic difference, it does what it’s supposed to do.I am getting a replacement soon and I will see if this controller doesn’t not malfunction, if all is well I will give this a 4 star for a solid controller with good enough amount of customizable accessories such as the thumb sticks, added weight if you want some more weight to the controller because without the weights, this controller is VERY light.The thumb sticks could benefit with a little extra grip, it does feel slippery when using it, but it is not the end of the world.The abxy buttons are nice and big, the analog feels smooth, I don’t feel like it has more or less tension than your standard controller, but it just feels smooth when playing with it. The D pad feels like the power a d pad which is fine by me. I do not like placement of the menu, select, and share button. They are in an awkward position and will take getting use to. The triggers feels nice and responsive… even more so if you change the settings on the app. I wish they had trigger stops on these as I think it would definitely take this up a notch.The shoulder buttons are nice and clicky… not much to say about those.The back buttons they went with instead of paddles I will admit, was a concern for me paddles feels so natural to my hand placement and buttons just seem it wasn’t going to get it right and….. they are OK. I still prefer to have paddles, but these are not a problem as they do have good surface area.Again, this is a solid controller , but on my case, the random freezing of this controller prevents me from giving it a good grade, hopefully the replacement will fix this deal breaker of an issue and I can give it the grade they earned with this controller.

Well I had purchased a Nikon PS4 controller and I loved it, it was great and so I decided to get one for the Xbox and it's nowhere near the PS4 one. The Xbox One feels real cheap and doesn't feel great in the hands either whereas the PS4 one just feels more high quality and just comfortable. And the other thing I don't like is where the paddles are they are in the way and I find myself hitting them when I didn't want to.

I write plenty good reviews. Almost never a bad, but I legit got sent a used controller dated 10/21. There’s no packaging to speak of, no tamper seals, finger prints on parts, and an opened box.Great Job

Great editing options. Dolby atmos for free is great. I would recommend to anyone for the costs. It is worth it.

The media could not be loaded.  He comprado 5 elite series 2, 3 los regresé al antes del mes aquí en Amazon, 2 fallaron a los 2 meses por lo cual no pude devolverlos y tuve que venderlos por fuera, he comprado fusion pro 1 ese duro 8 meses lo vendí porque compré otro elite y fue de los que regresé al mes, compré un Wolverine Ultimate hace 2 semanas el cual regresé al día siguiente, he comprado power a 4-5, power a spectra 3 todos con drift, de xbox series x ni se diga, pero al fin encontré el mando Perfecto, gracias a YouTube que apareció de la nada este increíble mando, lo único que no me gustaba es que lo veía “feo” pero al tenerlo es hermoso!! Espero no se descomponga porque este si que me dolería!! En fin esperemos a que saquen una versión 2 sin duda lo compraría; siempre y cuando tenga mejoras significativas.En fin si quieren saltar todo el texto esto les dire: ES EL MEJOR CONTROL PARA XBOX!!

The controller has a standard button layout and the back paddles are very easy to access/press. You could get very picky and say that the S2 and S4 buttons are more difficult to press than they could be. The overall product quality seems good. I used the advanced features to set up a profile. There was one small glitch with the software that you use to set it up. If you are remapping anything except for the sensitivity, the changes take place after making them in the app...but for sensitivity changes, you need to "exit" the app for the changes to apply. It is not mentioned anywhere and I saw from the YouTube video I watched that other people found this confusing to fix on their own.I seemed to get a lemon. The product does not connect to the console any more. Its been about 2 months. I contacted NACON and they said they will replace it, but it could take up to two weeks for a replacement. It started off by just disconnecting at random times. Unplugging it and replugging it in fixed the problem...but now it just wont connect.
