The mop of my dreams
Seriously, you know you're old when a simple mop can send you into a rapture. For years--decades--I've struggled to find a simple, sturdy sponge mop that does more than move around the dirt on my floors. This mop saved me from going back to scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees with an old towel, something I dread doing now that I'm over 70. So I just used it for the first time (therefore cannot speak to durability), but let's start with the packaging and assembly. Right out of the box, I noticed NO PLASTIC covering, just two pieces that take a second to insert, a cardboard covering over the mop head, and no instructions needed. This baby is the Lexus of sponge mops, okay? I love the way you can squeeze it practically dry or anywhere in between drippy and dry. I know it picked up the dirt because the water was dirty by the time I finished the kitchen and two bathrooms in less time than it would take me to sweep the floors. If you're tired of gimmicks and things that break or need endless refills, invest thirty bucks in this mop and forget about all the other spin mops and electric gizmos that are out there. All you need is this mop, a bucket, and a cleaner of your choice (mine is Pine Sol). No aching back, no irritating bells and whistles: just a mop that cleans your floors. Seriously, people, I could do an infomercial on this sensible, no-fuss product.

High quality mop
The quality of the mop is very high.It feels well built and designed very well. The sponge is not very good,it holds up well but it is not absorbent it just kind of spreads the liquid around. They should offer a mop head with a standard nitrocellulose mop head.I had a rubbermaid mop that was a copy of this mop and it was even more expensive but it was a piece of junk. They did a horrible job copying the cassabela mop,it does not squeeze well and the mop head falls off constantly. It was not a usable mop but it did have a good mop head.Very absorbent and wicked up the mesh very well.Would like that mop head on this mop then it would be a perfect mop. After owning the Rubbermaid Commercial Cellulose Sponge Mop (FG643500BRNZ) it is a complete joy to use the cassabella mop. This mop just has a very precise high quality feel to it.The head never falls off and it squeezes the mop head very well, the rollers are rigid and dont flex the the Rubbermaid does.

Dies the job well
Although the mop sponge is 4 1/2" shorter than our older Casabella mop, it does a good job. It seems to be a little flimsier than the original, but still well made. The new style mop sponge is easier to replace than the older model so that's a bonus. The overall quality seems to be better than other brands. I gave the mop four stars since Casabella shortened the length of the songe 4 1/2". Shrinkflation strikes again!

Love the mop, but the head broke on my first mop
I've had a mop like this before and I loved it. I loved this mop as well, but the mop head broke after a single use which is giving me pause. The mop head is a large rectangular sponge which is pinched into a piece of metal which then attaches to the mop. At the very end of my first use of this mop the sponge detached from the metal base and bingo, I can no longer mop with my mop. Very disappointing. The seller sent me another mop head and it didn't even last as long as the first one. I don't know how I could possibly wringing the mop wrong (you just pull the lever) so it has to be a defeat with the mop head. Maybe I've been unlucky and I got two from a bad batch. This is a shame because I love the mop and I love the absorption and other qualities of the mop head.

Overrated.
Everyone raves sviut this mop. It is a glorified supermarket mop. And the sponge is made of kind of yucky material. The worst was when I tried to get a replacement sponge and somehow could not pit it on as I had lost a part to the actual mop when I threw out that nasty sponge. I don’t think the company makes this anymore. With good reason. Try something more environmentally friendly.

The perfect mop...no joke...just buy it!
Very few good wringer type mops on the market since Swiffer type products have taken over. The number of years that I have used mops would make most depressed so I'll suffice to say that I have tried many brands over the years. This is hands down the best. FYI I used it on ceramic tile, but I could see it being effective on whatever flooring that you usually need a mop for. The reasons:1. Good weight....not too heavy.2. Wrings out the most amt of water I've ever seen, so floor dries in one half the time...truly amazing3. The sponge is so effective that there is no need for a "scratchy" edge to take up scuff or hard to remove marks4. You don't have to be super person to get the wringer mechanism to work properlyI wish I had known about this mop 30 years ago. It is worth every penny.I just got it, so I haven't changed the head, but I did watch the you tube video before I bought the mop and it appears to be a no brainer type operation, which is a change from most mop head wrestling matches. I did buy a extra mop head at the same time I bought the mop.
