The Last Song I'll Write for You

Golly, I feel like a bit of a broken record with nothing new and amazingly imaginative to say about David Cook, about his voice, his song writing, his production and this song, being just one more in a long line of fanflippingtastic songs this man puts out. David has a voice that is one in a million. I have hundreds of cd's and Iove many different genres of music. But there aren't many who I don't eventually grow tired of hearing. I put his CD in and in it stays. This single, yes, it was a ridiculous price to pay, but I believe that proceeds to these singles goes to find a cure for cancer having lost his brother to cancer just after he won AI. Anyway, this single is a great song. I love the lyrics and the music. It's very catchy and I'm addicted to it!! And well, it's David. So I will get 9.99 worth of use out of it. I put it on my ipod with all of the rest of the cd's and singles I've collected since his 2006 Analog Heart cd. Also an excellent CD!!! There really will never be a review of a David Cook single or CD that I won't be singing his praises because, well he's just that great!!! I'm not an idiot, in that I'm not looking at this man because of the way he looks, or what color his hair is, or the fact that he must chew Big Red gum! I admire his talent, and that he has in abundance! He's the real deal. He doesn't put out a cd every year like so many other artists, because he is deeper than that. What he's doing with his music means something to him and he cares about what he's putting out and has integrity to his music and his own creativity. I highly recommend this single(it's awesome) I've already listened to it a million times. And, you must listen to anything else that you can get your hands on that he's made. You won't regret it. By the way, I just drove 5 hours to get to my father who is ill. Guess what I listened to the entire time and who was entertaining me!

The Last Song is so catchy ... had me hooked from the first time I heard it. I love that David's lovely higher register is showcased! What really gets me, though, is the last line where he drops an octave, "last song I'll write for you"... I hope this is the first of many new David Cook singles to come - surely it won't be the last song he writes for us. Can't wait to hear The Last Song I'll Write For You in concert!!

I don't know what I was thinking. I got in a hurry and thought this was an album. Especially since the price was 10.00. Thanks for overpricing a single.

This song is already stuck in my head, and I'm not trying to get it out. It's pure David Cook - great voice, great melody, great lyrics, great band. This is what we need - real music with no autotune, no dance track, no gimmicks - just a talented singer and a good song. AMAZING! Keep 'em coming. Definitely not the last song he'll write for us, and certainly not the last David Cook song I'll buy.

I'm not one who usually writes song reviews, but I had to after listening to "The Last Song I'll Write For You". All I can say is WOW! The vocals are stunning and I love that the voice is in the forefront.This song is so so so much better than anything now played on radio. If you enjoy good music with amazing vocals, then this song is a perfect choice. I've had it on replay ever since I downloaded it.

I love David and his voice and this song is pretty good. He has some more exciting songs in his repertoire but this one is good, especially if you've just broken up with someone.

Once again David Cook knocks it out of the park. A remarkable song from an amazing singer/songwriter. None of the dance techno babble that permeates the airwaves today. A good song with a message unlike so many pop songs that use the same 5 words over and over again. Good job Mr. Cook. Looking forward to more new music from Mr. David Cook!

I was never so happy to wake up at 5 am! The Last Song I'll Write For You is the latest masterpiece from my favorite artist of all time. Instantly catchy and stuck in my head since I heard the snippet! Can't wait to see it performed tonight on Idol! As always, thank you, Amazon, for being so user friendly!

Absolutely love David Cook's music but if I had know there was only 1 track on this CD I certainly would not have bought it. Will read product descriptions more closely in the future.
