I tested this with a 1m steel ruler which agreed to 1mm.I had to return a different brand as it was too inaccurate for it's calibration function to correctNice and simple to use with an option to calibrate if necessary.If taking multiple readings you can take 3 measurements before the results start to scroll off the screen.Works well for my DIY usage. Wish I'd got one sooner!

Small, light, easy to handle; display a bit small but probably unavoidable on small screen. Works quickly and efficiently. Instructions reasonably clear e.g. to change units from metric to imperial though couldn't find how to change setting from including length of gadget itself to not including.

Smaller than expected when I opened the box but that's a plus - it fits anywhere and is as light as a feather. Used it on arrival, it's brilliant! Would definitely recommend as a simple but very effective device.

This neat little product does what it says - measures distances either from the front of the unit or from the back (you can set which at time of use). It has the facility for you to adjust the reading by a few millimetres should you find it has a calibration error but I found this unnecessary.All operations are by pressing the single button on the front of the unit. This display gives you the result and also has a small graphic to remind you if you are set to measuring from the back or the front of it.A long press turns it on, a second press lights the laser so you can line it up and a third completes the measurement which is immediatly displayed.Calibration, change of distance units (metric/imperial) and change between rear/front measurent are all performed using the single button on the front.The unit comes upplied with the two AAA battereies you will need.For accuracy I measured a couple of distances in the 2m to 5m range against my Stanley metal tape. They agreed within a millimetre. I then tried two measurements of the distance from my desk top to the ceiling changing whether the unit was measuring from the back (i.e. including its own length) or from the front (i.e. excluding its own length). The readings differed by the length of the unit as measured by my tape measure - that is to say by exactly the difference you wooul antipate.I have used it only only so far to measure up for some blinds to go in the recesses of two windows. The reading showed up that one of the windows is 3mm narrower than the other and that the wider one tapers from top to bottom by 1mm. I could not obtain such precision using the tape.I am please with the product and would recommend it.

The product itself is fine. But the instructions are not very helpful. You’ll learn more by trial and error. But it’s a useful functional tool for a hobbyist.

As a woman it needed to fit into my backpack/handbag! Great. Used it for a complex building research project and it was simple to deal with, lightweight and accurate.

Cheap and seems to do the job.Need to be careful to make sure the laser is perpendicular to the surface being measured to ensure accurate measurements.Would buy again.

Saved a huge amount of time measuring my rooms for renovation - especially over long spans/ceiling level. Seems very accurate, and the continuous measuring feature is useful. Far easier/quicker when measuring distances over 3/4 m than a traditional tape measure. Also used outside to measure distance from ground to the eaves (6m) which would have been extremely difficult otherwise.
