This is for help organize under the sink , for example I use for keep My kitchen supplies ,example counter cleaner, sponges ,dishwasher soap, etc. It is strong but not for microwave support. **Q: How tall is the area in the basket? Could cleaning products stand up in the drawer instead on the top shelf?** A: The drawer is about 8 1/2" tall. Some cleaning products will fit. For instance I have Bar Keeper's Friend in mine. It's about 6 1/2" tall. I find this unit to be very useful. **Q: What is the tallest size that will work in the bottom drawer? Can the flat top be removed, don’t need it?** A: You can put items up to about 8” tall in the drawer. The top shelf cannot be removed as the legs are permanently attached to it. You can stack them and still store things on top. Super sturdy and hold plenty. I got two last year then bought two more after moving to a place with a bigger cabinet. I love that they organize your things while also giving you the ability to still have a shelf to stack things on. Make sure you measure your cabinets before. Super easy to assemble and easy to use. Very sturdy and the drawer slides easily. Great in spaces with limited storage. We use for under sink stuff which keeps everything organized (dishwasher pods and the like). In the bathroom it holds all our personal stuff. It’s smallish and fits well under the bathroom sinks Top shelf is handy too. Can't speak for durability yet, but it should be better than plastic.The drawer is necessarily smaller than the top level and I'm wondering if I wouldn't want some without the drawer (presumably for less), allowing me use more lower level space.
