This is a good quality case for a laptop secondary monitor, the inside is nice and soft but it will not offer any decent protection for a portable screen. There is no solid structure to this case at all so it will not protect a screen from any sort of light impact. Since portable monitors are quite delicate things, this case will be fine to move it around the office, but I wouldn’t use it on a commute to work or even put it into a rucksack to transport it. Great for storage of a screen and light transport but if you want a case that will offer some decent physical protection against impact damage, this is not it.

Perfect fit

One of the zippers stopped working a month after having this. It still works, but it is annoyingly difficult to close. (1/5 stars originally)Update: after posting this, the seller reached out to offer a refund and to send a replacement. I'm updating this to 3 stars for their prompt response and willingness to address the situation in a meaningful way. Hopefully the replacement will not have the same issue. Good enough

I really love this case and do strongly recommend it to anyone looking for an added layer of protection for an external monitor, tablet, etc. The external pocket is a big selling point and allowed me to keep the connection cables with the monitor. The padding is thick, and anything in here would be protected. The case is attractive enough that it could easily be carried around to a meeting or something similar as an external case. My one and only (minor) complaint is that the external monitor in this well-padded case was just a tad too long to fit comfortably in my backpack, particularly when it was full of other things as well, though it did not prevent my backpack from closing. It was a challenge to get in and out of the backpack through security checkpoints just due to the bulk, though the smooth fabric made the task a little easier.

This is a very nicely made case. It fits my Viewsonic VG1655 portable monitor perfectly. There is room in the pouch to store cables, but any cables with a toroid are going to protrude and require facing the back-side of your monitor to prevent possible screen damage. If your monitor utilizes a power supply/adapter, you will need to carry it in something other than in this case.Biggest disappointment with this case is it lacks any real protection for the screen. There is no reinforced layer to protect the screen from an impact. This would be fine for a laptop since the shell protects the screen, but not a monitor. It is a soft lightly padded case that will only protect a monitor from scratches and minor bumps. Anything more and you will probably be looking at replacing your monitor due to fracturing the screen. If your thought is to place this case inside another more protective travel bag or case, you will probably be ok doing so.Due to the lack of impact protection, I returned it. If I had kept it, I would have made a panel from a reinforced board or another suitable material to slide into the case to completely shield and protect the monitor screen from any possible damage.
