I have a 7 month 40 lb labrador puppy these worked quite well for. It is imperative NOT to place the nail too close to the base of the nail bed as it can cause an impaction as the nail tries to grow, among irritation. I trimmed the length down a tad bit and glued them on. They lasted about a week. If you leave them on too long I notice their nails feel soft after they're removed, but it's the same thing for the acrylic nails I wear.I made sure to clean her nails with alcohol before I glued them on to avoid any bacterial infections.

I love these for my dog. Bella is a 2 yr old Pit Bull mix and she loves to jump and play especially with my boys. These claw covers protect us from getting scratched when we play with her. I highly recommend these to any dog owner with a young and playful pup! Next time I purchase these, I do have to go up a size. These were a tad too small but they still work. So just pay attention to the size when you make your purchase.

These solved the problem of my dog scratching when he jumps. Very easy to apply and they really stay put too.
