These spices have really elevated my meals. My housemate and I use them on EVERYTHING to add flavour during cooking and sometimes after as a garnish.Would highly recommend!

Great addition to your cooking, really does add great flavour to the food

If you like savoury food but don't want the hassle of keeping a spice rack topped up then something like these spice mixes by Just Spices could suit you and offer a variety of ideas from around the world. These blends are produced in Germany by Just Spices GmbH so may not be quite what the English palette is used to but are still interesting combinations of flavours that are worth trying for yourself. For a little short of thirty quid you get six different blends of spices presented in small tins containing around 60g of seasonings each – about 360g in total making the price over eight pence per gram of spice. The six tins are not gift boxed – just packed in a plain cardboard box – so are not really a gift idea without a bit of work on your part – and the price could be a bit of an issue if you are used to buying your own spices or even using other blends. There are curious caricatures on each tin which some may like – I found them a bit odd myself – and the whole Just Spices concept will appeal to certain cooks more than others. Five stars for quality but three stars for value gives an average of four stars.

You know how you buy a jar of spices and when you open it there's about half the volume of just powder and some gunk and you wonder what the heck you paid for?Well not with these!! These containers are PACKED with real ingredients that you can see. The mix of everything listed is right there, and the aromas are overwhelming. At first glance it may seem like this is an expensive set, but when you look at just how much you get in each container, which will last a good amount of time, the true value becomes obvious. These are not those tiny bottles of spices you normally get in the supermarket which seem like good value but then you realise that the glass is really thick so the true volume is much less than it appears.Each canister is sealed with a foil lid to keep the contents fresh, and the mixes of spices are tailored for specific types of dishes. I've tried several so far, and they really do add a lovely rich punch to every meal I've used them in. The "Potato All-Rounder" is a particularly unusual offering, and not one I've seen anywhere else, and it really does add a lot of extra flavour to plain boring mash or bakes spuds.Really well put together and extremely useful set of spices which will last anyone for many many meals.

I haven't tried all of them yet, but what I have, I like. You get a good amount of each flavouring, 100g of each, so the value compares well with those little jars you get in supermarkets.They really are mouth watering!

So you get 6 little boxes 57g each of spices.It has 3 specific to a cousin such as Italian, Chinese and Mexican and 3 specific for a meal like a curry, chicken curry and potato seasonings. All with a specific label to spices. Which are quite cool.All of them are sealed and then opened smells really good. Used already few of them and they are really nice mixes. However, they are not something special really to be worth 27.99 for 6 little boxes. As if you buy separate spices you can create your own mixes not worst than these.Maybe they can be a little nice present to someone who likes to cook purely on the label design.Overall they are really good spices and I really like them. But they are massively overpriced.
