PuuUUIIISSANT !

very satisfied customer, having owned a set of your ADV ...
Greetings, Westone,For the past 6 months or so I have been a very, very satisfied customer, having owned a set of your ADV earphones. As a cyclist, hiker and runner for the past three decades, over which span of time I've auditioned dozens of earphones, your ADV are simply the finest for the endurance/outdoor enthusiast. No other comparable product matches the care and forethought of your design, or quality of your construction. Just a few notes of appreciation:1. Audio quality, for an out and about, rugged but not too costly set of earphones is excellent.2. Comfort is simply superb. I can wear them longer, under a more diverse array of conditions, than any competition earphone3. Ease: Loop the thin, durable wire around my ear and go. What could be easier? I can tell you what's harder: How about the high end Beats 'phone, which includes a shoddy plastic piece that is somehow supposed to fit under my ear's integument; How about KEF, with a gracelessly design wand of bendable rubber that I guess I'm supposed to fit around (within?) my ear. I could go on, but the only system that compares with yours in terms of comfort/simplicity/secure hold is B&W's C5.4. Usability: Rare among all controller sections is your: pronounced ridges mean my fingers can easily find up/down controls, and discern which is the pause control. Even with biking gloves. Critically, it's pretty light, too, which means I don't feel the downward pressure between strides or pedal strokes that I do with the KEF or JBL or Sure or UE models, whose boxy control units tend to bounce annoyingly.5. Thoughtful touches: The fabric-y "weave" that wraps your wire is brilliant. Resists tangling. When it does tangle, easier to untangle. And microphones are very low (does the weave dampen those?)6. Durability: My favorite feature is also the most prosaic. Or, maybe it's my favorite because it is so prosaic and easily overlooked. It's the design of the 3.5mm jack. First, it's L-shaped, which is an absolute MUST for any "wear-around", everyday kind of earphone. The L jack, as you obviously know, sets a much lower profile along the phone, so it's far less likely to get knocked sideways when one is fumbling for the phone/player, or maybe dropping it to the ground (which can destroy not just the jack, but the receptor in the device itself). THEN you coat the jack in some kind of space-age rubbery stuff, and elegantly lend it a graceful curve; so, it's an L jack in function, but in design it's something far more notable and lovely.I could go on, but I am writing to let you know that not only do I love and appreciate this product — I also have to send it for repair. Coming in from a rainy ride yesterday I took the right earphone out and, in the act of placing back into my ear, I think some water was forced into the aural tube. Or, perhaps something else befell the unit. Whatever, it simply stopped working. It wasn't one of those annoying intermittent problems caused by connection issues at the control unit or jack juncture, but I think something actually got into the earpiece, as nothing emanated from the earpiece but complete silence. Then, rather stupidly, I took it upon myself to pry the unit open and poke around the tube. This resulted in audio resuming for a moment, then back to silence. So, now I guess I need an RA or some kind of communication from you, authorizing a return, or at least telling me how to proceed with a repair or replacement. I just purchased on Amazon a set of Pro20s, for delivery tomorrow, so this is not a rush. Just let me know what I should do next. Best, Joel MaHarry, satisfied customer.

Best style & sound for the price
Amazing. It does take a few more seconds to fit them, as my years are really small, but the sound is WOW. I have been using Sennheiser as an affordable solution for years before, I switched to Westone out of curiosity and for the much more sophisticated design - I don't like sporty, bright plastic - and I was a bit concerned if they'll still sound as good. Tested with "Fever Ray - Keep The Streets Empty": the sound was sweet as jam, the bass is definitely there but smooth and balanced, a lot more "creamy" than Sennheiser, maybe just one idea less powerful but it makes you vibrate. The noise isolation is brilliant too!Oh yes, the cable does tangle a bit, but I can't see a way to avoid that with this cable design. It is a matter of choice and sometimes I just prefer looks and style over improved non-entangling rubber, for the price of spending 2 extra second a day to unmess the cord. Besides, if you store them correctly, you can spare yourself the effort quite well. They come with a very interesting carrying case - also simple, black, velvety surface plastic hard case which I absolutely loved and it survived without a scratch a long recent trip involving backpacks, mountains, sea and any mean of transport you can imagine - lots of hustle.I'd say buy with confidence. They could be easier to fit, yes, but it's something you get used to. For sound, durability and minimalistic looks they have no match in this price range.
