How thick are these in the heel area?

The Casual Flex Cushion is 10.2mm in the heel and 6.5mm in the forefoot for a total of a 3.7mm drop.

Is the equivalent to the sole in a nb 990. i don’t have the soles of my 990’s and wanna know if these will fit perfectly

The New Balance Casual Flex Cushion insole is not an exact replacement for your 990's. These are a trim to fit insole which will need to be customized to your shoe but once trimmed should work very well in that NB shoe.

Do these have a metatarsal pad?
