Memoirs of a Hamster

My grandson really liked this book

Yes, this hamster is a ham! The tale is told in first-person by the hamster, and there is also a cat who adds great interest to the plot! You will read each page with enjoyment, and it has enough "meat' in this text that you want to turn pages to see what happens next!

This is my seven year olds favorite book to read. He began reading it online for school through EPIC. He would ask to read it everyday. His 12 and 9 year old brothers would listen to the story too as it was read aloud online and all three of them would laugh and enjoy! I decided to buy it for Christmas now that he is reading better on his own. A family favorite!

Memoirs of a Goldfish was a huge hit in our house, so I ordered this one and Memoirs of an Elf. The Elf version is pretty awful and neither my 5 year old nor myself like reading it. But, Memoirs of a Hamster is adorable and one that we happily added to our rotation. I know it’s hard to top favorite books and Memoirs of a Golfish is a favorite for so many kids, but this one does a great job of feeling and reading much like the other winner in this series.

This is a previous library book with the cover, bar code, and school sticker in it. Several of the pages are taped where tears occurred. I taped several other torn pages. I taped several pages that were coming loose from the binder. This book should not have been classified as "used- very good."

Funniest, most light hearted book for 5 and 6 year olds I have been through in this 2 year period of VPK and Kindergarten. And that s saying a lot! On my Grandmothers Day wish list so I can take it for hospital volunteer readings when the pandemic is over!

I used this book to teach point of view to my third grade class. They loved the story and it was a a funny quick read. I recommend this book to all of the other third grade teachers at my school.

This is one of my favorite kids books. So special i bought one for each of my grandchildren. A delightful tale. I know they will remember me reading to them. And that’s good enough for me.

Interesting but expensive little book

GRandchildren purchased a hamster and four days later it got out of its cage and they had to cut a hole in the wall to get it out. The children loved this book. It was a great find.
