Sideclick Universal Remote Attachment for MiBox Streaming Players

If you want to be able to control the TV and maybe even other components (BluRay, Receiver) on one remote WITH your Android TV box, this fits the bill pretty well. A useful setup might be something like power ON/OFF for the TV, BluRay, and Receiver (Power, Button A, Button B), Input for the TV, then Receiver Volume (+, -) and lastly play/pause for the BluRay (UP/DOWN) etc. Not a ton of buttons but enough to keep you from having to grab those other remotes as much.The packaging was fairly generic (mine had dislodged and was flopping loose in the box) and instructions printed a bit small. $30 is a bit steep for this when a full replacement remote (with airmouse and keyboard even) can be had for $15-$20. Still if you want to keep the existing remote, this is your only option. Construction and feel are both solid.

Works well, but will not fit the old style remotes. Only the newer with voice. Enter button on my TV remote wouldn't program into this remote. Makes changing sources on the TV a 2 remote job still. Source, volume, power, channel up/down all programmed in without issue. Great for the bedroom where I'm not having to locate two remotes to turn everything off. I have the add on remote that goes on the back in the living room. This one is better.

I will say that the sideclick is what I have been looking for. It's awesome to be able to program each button individually to your personal setup. The power button turns on my tv and the letter A turns on my surround sound. As long as you have a remote that is infrared, you are able to program the sideclick to do just about anything. I was even able to get it to turn on and off my A/C unit which kinda shocked me. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to downsize their remote collection.

the remote doesn't always work, sometimes you have to press the button a few times for it to send out the command, i had this issue with the mi box one and the alexa one.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It replaces having to juggle two remotes to use my MiBox with my TV. It's easy to program, slim, and has good range.

Bought the clip sold separately that goes with the Nvidia Sheild, and added to this one and works great. Very pleased.

I've got the most recent MIbox and it doesn't fit my remote. I assumed since there is no list of compatible models that it would fit all recent ones. Not so. I recommend you budget for a 3D printer so you can print your own attachment sleeve.
