I've Already Started Implementing This System
First, this isn't the first book by S.J. Scott that I've read nor will it be the last. S.J. is a master at distilling usable information into a form that readers can ingest and implement in as little as an hour.I have to admit that I'm not that great at writing down goals or in assessing or revisiting them over a period of time. My basic approach is to make a vague goal and then start moving in that general direction. Using the information in this book, I actually got out a notebook and made a list of the things I want to accomplish over the next three months; then I started breaking down those goals into actionable steps I could take to achieve my goals by my deadline.Breaking down a big goal into small chunks is going to make my goals - not only business but health - so much easier to achieve. If I had to pick out one thing I like best about this book (other than the great information) is that S.J. gave many real-world examples of each step. That alone made it easy for me to really understand how best to put my goals into action. One more thing - I also like the examples of taking a big goal and the steps needed to get from point A to point B and then Point C and so forth.I'm a big fan of this author (love his book on walking 10,000 steps) - and wish I could have given the book even more than 5 stars. It really cleared away many of my goal-setting cobwebs.

A very good little book
Very practical, clear language, and motivational! The book provides a very clear path to set up goals and it seems like a very doable system, not the convoluted program that others offer. It is a very fast read.

Absolutely what I needed
I found this book extremely helpful. I.like the organized approach he has outlined. I bought it and read it for kindle but today I ordered the paperback. It will be a constant reference book as goal setting has become a major part of my life with the new position I have moved into. SMART goals are not a new concept for me but Scott has filled in the blanks on a real approach to set SMART goals effectively. I read his book 23 Anti-procrastination Habits first and found it right on target for helping me get jump-started on these new efforts. I am now a bona fide SJ Scott fan.Oh, and one more note about SJ Scott's books - they are "clean" as in no typos and incorrect grammar like so many of these e-books have. I really appreciate that. Makes for a smooth read where you can focus on content not be stumbling over errors.

3 points for the things i didny didn't know before
I quite like the part of "review your goal on a daily basis".Actually I don't even like goals. But now I think it's nice to have some to make the best out of life and my time.Like any book, I learn something. And I like the length of this thin book, it's condensed and brief, not much repetition, which is great.

Fantastic
No BS. Straight to the info, he could have added like 3 or 4 examples for each point like most authors do to lenghten the book, but it goes straight to thr point.I love it.

How do you eat an elephant?
Reading it while relocating to another state. Reading it to get my life back on track after two-years of chaos. Reading it to make a positive fresh start in our new location. Reading it section by section with notebook in hand chewing on every bite...like eating an elephant one bite at a time,"S.J. Scott presents well know information step-by-step. His method makes reviewing things easier to swallow and actually apply it to my life. His suggestions are practical (aka doable). His visualization process has me swishing the ideas in my thoughts, formulating my dreams into step-by-step goals. This is NOT a read-through-in-a-few-days book. It is a plan. It is a workbook with assignments. Success comes through applying it piece by piece, bite by bite, not by osmosis.I'm excited to live my S.M.A.R.T. goals to become the best me.

Actionable. Detailed.
Excellent guide to setting and achieving goals. I skimmed much of it, as it was review for me. However, I did go cover-to-cover. It was well worth my time.I plan to use the outlined process in conjunction with other life planning that i am restarting.
