I have gone through a number of hair straightners in my lifetime. I have been straightening my hair for about 10 years now. I rarely do it now, because my hair goes down to my hips and is very thick. I have been using the CHI hair straighter for the past several years, but mine finally decided to quit on me. I thought that I would try a different brand. This one caught my attention because it vibrates and I hadn't heard of a vibrating hair straightner! The manual is really helpful and explains where the origin came from, the Chinese tradition of beating clothes to help get the wrinkles out. This straighter can get HOT! I would recommend using one of those hair heat gloves if you are accident prone. It does come with 2 alligator clips that are perfect for thick hair. This is super easy to operate and I like the ceramic plates because it straightens your hair in addition to smoothing down all the frizz. I found that even without a straightening serum, (I still used a heat spray to not fry my hair) it calmed it down. You can choose to use the vibrating feature or not. It also has a swivel cord, which is perfect if you're in a small bathroom or live with a bunch of girls who all try to use the bathroom at once. I am really impressed with the quality of this hair straightener. I was a little skeptical since I hadn't heard from the brand or heard of a vibrating flat iron, but I was not disappointed! It works wonders on my super long, thick, and curly hair!I hope that this review has been helpful to you!

It'll do
If you have never owned the name brand version, you probably won't notice a difference. This one only vibrates at half of what the name brand version does. It definitely doesn't glide through your hair as easy or straighten as fast. It is still better than your standard straightener. I bought it to replace my expensive one that quit vibrating after a year. For 1/3 the price, it'll do

Surprisingly great!
This is actually a really great flat iron, and I've tried a LOT of them. I like this better than the CHI iron I've been using and for the price, you can't beat it. It is easy to use, slides freely through the hair and heats up very quickly. All the essential requirements of a good flat iron. I'm really pleased with it!

Thick hair
I thought the product worked fine. I have really thick hair so I had to go over the sections a couple times.

In my opinion not worth it
I had a more expensive vibrating hair straightener that had broken and needed to replace. So I ordered this.I don't like it, it works no differently or better than the cheapest straightener you could purchase from Walmart. Don't recommend.
