This cord and mic works perfectly with my Xbox One X Controller & Sony XM3 Headphones. I was on the fence about just buying a designated Xbox headset but just spent $350 on new Sony 1000 XM3 noise cancelling headphones because I travel a lot for work.This cord adds a mic and manual volume control to headphones. The sound clarity is great, and the mic sensitivity and quality is surprisingly not bad (voice is very clear, I tested by using in-game and listening to recorded messages)! The braided material prevents tangling or knotting the cord as well. This cord saved me $80-100 that I was going to spend on a dedicated headset, now I have the most comfortable and high-quality listening experience ever!I will update on the longevity and build quality after a few months, honestly, if I had to replace this a few times a year I wouldn't be upset assuming the price stays low. As of now the design and construction seem to be high quality!

So this piece of junk stopped working after 60 days or so. Wrote a bad review. Then the Seller said "retract your review and we'll send a new cord. " Well, been 3 months now and no word from this Seller.DO NOT BUY!!

Really high quality aux cable. I can confirm it works with ps4 as a mic and works with my s8 plus along with all the buttons on it. Even works with my ps gold headphones but only the volume and mic work obviously not the control button. So far I'm really happy with this purchase and it beats paying 15 bucks at best buy for one with no controls and less build quality. And I got 2 of these for half the price! Will update if they don't hold up but I doubt it

My son lost a cable with microphone for his skull candy head set. I didn't even doubt that I can buy skullcandy cable separately, but I only found out that skull candy no longer makes or sells a separate cable for headset. So, that's how my long journey of finding a cable with microphone for skullcandy headset had begun.I ordered some other cable with microphone, but its microphone quality was so poor, his friends can't understand what he says.Then, I found these cable.Surprisingly, it works great with a skullcandy headset, according to my son, he thinks this cable is better than the cable which came with a skullcandy headset.If you own a skullcandy headset, and you are looking for a replacement cable for your skullcandy headset, buy this one.It works well.

This item works with Dre Beats Studio3 when plugged into controller. Sound and mic!!!!. No issues. It activates the headset when inserted in 3.5mm slot on the Dre Beats Studio3. Also activates the PS4 when inserted in the 3.5mm port on controller. NO need to buy special Sony proprietary headsets. Only need the 3.5mm audio cable that has a 3 ring 3.5mm to headset and 4 ring 3.5mm to controller. Has nothing to do with updates or PS4 gen1 or gen2 and so on controllers. I had already had the Dre Beats. Did not want to buy a separate headset just to play the PS4.

The cable works great, no static when moving or turning the connections.The microphone quality is superb as well, I tested it by voice recording on my computer and playing it back, the mic had no problems picking up my voice clearly and distinctly. I'll be using this when on xbox LIVE parties.The cable itself is a braided material that feels pretty good, the connection ends are a hard but soft feeling rubber plastic. The microphone casing is a smoother plastic that is not rubberized. The button for play\pause is clicky and responsive without requiring too much pressure. The volume slider glides up or down smoothly and the volume dropoff is smooth and not staggered.The cable is pretty straight and doesn't curl up on itself and the length is perfect.I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were two items in my order (2x items per order), I just hadn't noticed it was two cables per order.

I have to say I'm impressed with the sound quality and over all build quality. The volume slider works well along with the built in microphone. They work well with my v-moda xs headphones and sound better than the original cable .I just have one nit picky thing is that its just a bit snug fitting into the headset but nothing to cry about I'll buy these again for sure.*UPDATE* 9 months and i have a short in the wire ,no worries i bought the 2 pack! and I use headphone jack extensions to help from the jack bending and causing a premature / unnecessary short also, I'm a bit rough with these wires at times so I'm very surprised they have held up to my wear and tare so far and buying another 2 pack to replenish my back up .

Got a pair of wireless headphones from Monoprice (product number: 30922) that came with an audio jack that was just audio and didn't have a microphone interface. I got this to add microphone capability when I connect to my work PC which doesn't allow Bluetooth for security reasons and it works like a charm. Audio is decent on calls and my microphone gain was a bit on the lower side but seeing as that my office is a bit loud this was appreciated. I recommend messing with voice recorder or some other app that uses a mic to see how well it picks up and if you need to fiddle with the settings.All in all, happy as hell with this cable and its performance over the last month, would definitely recommend to others facing the same issue as I did.

Bought this as an alternative for my VMODA headphones that had a bright orange wire,pros:mic is well placed and very clear meaning can be used on consolesvolume and sound controls work and allow easy one-handed controlswould reccomend

Broke in a month echos and had a staticky sound when using the headphones what good the first week then the issues accrued probably would not recommend this unless you wanna take the risk of it not working
