Waste of money; shoes won't stay on your feet.
Assembly took about 20 minutes; not bad, but not the ten minutes advertised. Once assembled, the shoes were a royal pain to get attached to my feet. It's nearly impossible to get the straps through the buckles by yourself. It took me almost15 minutes to get them both on. Once I did, I took two steps on my lawn and the shoes slipped right off my feet. This happened even though I took care to lift my feet straight up and put them straight down each step (I had read in the reviews that this method helped to keep the shoes on). I figured maybe if the straps were tighter, it would work better, so I had my wife attach the shoes to my feet while I stood and waited. It still took her about five minutes to get the straps through the buckles on each shoe. The straps were on as tight as she could get them (I felt the constriction!), and I started out again, lifting my feet straight up, and stepping straight down. This time, I made it 8 or 9 steps before the shoes slipped off again. I sent them back.

Poor quality
I bought these to replace what I thought were the same lawn shoes from many years ago. The old lawn shoes had straps with buckles that always came loose and I frustratingly walked out of them all of the time. These shoes appeared to have a buckle system that was better, and it was. However, the plastic platform on these new ones? Terrible quality. The spikes ripped out of the low-quality plastic. My husband used washers to re-attach them, hoping they'd stay put. I used them today, after his common-sense fix. It had rained two inches in the last couple of days, so I knew the lawn wouldn't be hard -- at all. But, even after that amount of softening rain, FIVE of the screws ripped out of the shoes while I walked around the yard. You can see four of the screws with the washers my husband used to re-attache them in my picture, so I assume there is a fifth screw stuck in the lawn somewhere. How lovely. DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES - THE PLASTIC PLATFORM IS SHODDY AND WEAK. If I hadn't bought them so long ago, I'd return them. I wish I'd kept the old shoes and used the new straps and buckles - that would've been perfect. Alas, I threw them away when I got these new ones.

it kept getting "clogged" with dirt and I had to keep clearing as best I could---sometimes having to sit awkwardly on the ground
First of all, these are a real PAIN to put together. They say you can assemble them in 5 minutes ---but unless my package was unusual ---that is simply not the case. Many of the metal nails, washers and nuts did not fit well together and required WORK to get them right. It takes a lot to get them all in the holes and then to get them screwed in securely using the flimsy wrench provided for that purpose. Once you have some of the nails in, it requires a lot to get the others in --- so go row-by-row tightening as you go. The straps are longgggggggggggggggggggggggggg and in my case the top strap only worked on one side. I never was able to get the top strap on one side to securely hold the aerator shoe onto my work-shoe. So, in the end, I gave up and just walked/aerated with one shoe on. Of course, it kept getting "clogged" with dirt and I had to keep clearing as best I could---sometimes having to sit awkwardly on the ground (can't walk in these on anything except soil). I'd send these back but for the fact that I did try to use them once and they are very muddy/dirty now. These simply did not work well for me. I'm VERY disappointed and I do not feel they were at all worth the price.

About what you would expect. Bought for the cheap price.
Mixed feelings on this. Price was decent but you also get what you pay. Plus side it was easy to put together and fit my shoe size just right. Also shipping was very fast. Down sides are the nails are thinner than I hoped so I question if it is really effective. Sadly I wont really find out cause I couldn't walk more than 10 feet and the straps would give and my foot would slip out. I tried and tried but just couldn't get them to stay. I will have to get creative to make these work.

Waste of money. Feet would come out no matter how tight the straps
I tired everything and could not get these to stay on my feet. I was wearing them with my sneakers that I garden in and I am a size 9 so I do not have small feet that should slip out. The straps would not hold. No matter how tight I had the straps my feet would come right out!!!! And If my feet did not come out the they pulled right though the straps. I bought these in late winter and was not able to use them until now so I am not able to return which upsets me. I read these reviews and thought these would be great. Waste of money. Awful product.

Does not work
Should have read all the reviews before I purchased. Takes a while to put together. As soon as I stepped on to my yard, the shoes came off. Tightened them and tried again. Came off. Never worked. Put them together exactly as the photos showed. They just are not easy to use. Would not recommend them.

Useless and Dangerous
These things are worse than useless, they are dangerous. Straps slip easily after only a few steps, causing the soles to shift dangerous, which invites tripping and falling. You MIGHT be able to use safely and efficiently them if you stopped ever few minutes to adjust and tighten the straps, but honestly, save yourself the time, money and danger and do NOT buy these.

Plastic base that breaks
These are difficult to put on and don’t stay on as you move. The front pegs broke off as you have to only lift your foot straight up to avoid stress on the plastic base, that breaks easily
