Heat-Sealable Ziplock Mylar Bag 3 in 1 INCLUDES: 100 x 0.5 Gallon Mylar Bags (5.5 Mil thickness); 4 x Self-adhesive Labels; 1 x IEBPA Mark Pen. MAXIMUM PROTECTION: Mylar bags are engineered with an added internal layer of aluminum foil which provides superior durability and puncture resistance. All bags are made with BPA-free, food grade materials. LIGHT & AIR TIGHT: At 5.5 Mil thickness, bags PREVENT light and air penetration to keep your food safe. Other brands sell flimsy, thin and poorly made bags that should not be trusted with long term food storage. CREATING A TOTAL OXYGEN BARRIER: Films that block moisture, oxygen, and aroma from entering or exiting the package. You can press the bag to expel excess air through the unidirectional air valve. REUSABLE DESIGN: The “PULLTAB TO OPEN” and “ZIPPER” design makes the bag reusable, the perfect matching label set will work with the long term storage.

Great bags for coffee
Looking for bags with valves for my coffee roasting. These are wonderful. They fit the bill perfectly. Great for degassing my freshly roasted beans. My label will adhere and make them ready for sale.

Good Coffee / Nut bags with discharge valve, zip-lock. Impulse or heat iron required
These are some great coffee bags that you can be re-used. The one way valve allows you to discharge coffee gas (CO2) so you can seal coffee right away.Build quality:All bags seem properly sealed on the bottom, air tight (once sealed) and free of defects.Durable:The 5.5mil mylar is denser than your typical store bought coffee bags but is typical of boutique brands you may find.Impulse or heat iron required! You should have an impulse sealer (preferred) to close these bags. You can seal with a straightening iron or clothes iron if you do not have an impulse sealer. You can not seal these with a vacuum sealer!Re-CloseableYou can reseal the bag via the zip-lock seal. Of course you can also reseal -- If you plan on doing that its best to seal really high on the bag so that you can still have ample room to reseal if you cut that seal off. ( I recommend cutting with scissors rather then trying to open as that will tend to cause vertical rips and bag damage)Value:If you shop around for mylar bags you will probably see this is a pretty good value and far more durable than the "clear bags" I recommend them if you plan on re-using or need a very durable bag.

Great bags. Nice for fresh roast.
I roast coffee and while I don't use bags like this for my home consumption, I often give coffee as gifts. These bags are very nice for that. The bags I've been using didn't have a vent and the beans weren't degassing the carbon dioxide that well. I had been waiting 48 hours before bagging to compensate. These bags allow me to seal the bags right after roasting and still have the beans off-gas.The bags are nice and shiny and seal well. The opening isn't super large since one side is kind of pinched closed. It's easy enough to fill but does take a bit of a wedge to direct beans inside. If I were in big number production I would make a V shaped tray for my scale.I didn't use the labels or the pen. They are included but I recommend printing some labels with a computer. At 50 cents a bag, these are expensive. I recently purchased white mylar bags with windows and vents for about 30 cents a bag.
