Homemade Design Wooden Coffee Table with Lift Up Top and Shelves 85cm Wide for Living Room,Office, Storage Side Table (grey+oak-1)

Replacing a designer table twice the area and (15y ago) 3 times the price with this pine/white w central cantilever design means I can now actually walk around the cofee table. It works - lid goes up, lid goes down. It has more storage than old one. I use old stainless steel legs (that are filled with concrete to add weight) to give more weight to new one - caffee table canabalism! The top is laquer rather than walnut veneer but it looks fine and is wipeable. Less area means I get less clutter on it before I am forced to tidy! hahaAseembly was amazing. 52 bl**dy bolts to tighten. But assembled it is. I didnt use the tacky 52 white stick on patches but used 4 white plastic 16mm buttons on the 4 visible bolts under tray. The rest can stay as they are - there's a pair of dark brown cantilever spring mechanisms visible when u lift it up, who cares about a few visible black bolts heads!? One screw fixing the cantilever to table top was replaced with a larger one as hole was drilled too big. Apart from that it was fine. Liked the clear numbering on diagram and stickers on pirces. Just dont do it in a rush because your pizza is ready and u need it built to eat the pizza off at 2am in the morning! Plan better...The old one is disasasemled and awaiting a bigger house to put it in, when I shall be a two coffee table house.

Allows multiple functions. It can be left as a coffee table, raised for work, and there is storage too.

Great table size is perfect and super easy to put together

Perfect, took a while to make alone, I am not the strongest of people, but it is sturdy and works really well!

It is hard to assemble and sturdiness is very low.
