I have bought 3 of these and they all have the same instruction errors in the user manual compared to how they work. Made it confusing when trying to set it up. So, to help future buyers - the 12/24hr display change is done in LOCK mode not time display mode as stated. The alarm ringtones setting is also done in LOCK mode not time display mode and you need to press both + and - together not just - as stated. Brightness adjustment is also done in LOCK mode not time display mode. On the product, my husband likes that you can adjust the brightness really low as his previous one was too bright overnight. Nice big display and also useful having an adjustable alarm volume with different sounds to choose from.

We bought a new dvd player that lacks an illuminated digital clock like our old one had, and we really missed it. We don't have a room clock, and it was so much easier to let your gaze drop momentarily from the tv to the clock and back again, rather than raising and twisting your wrist to look at your watch, or picking up a mobile phone.The electronic clock sits nicely on top of the dvd player, while a key point in my choice of this item was that I'm able to dim the brightness to a level where it's not distracting.One comment I will make, and this applies to whatever anyone would use the clock for, is that the displayed digits are rather large. If I was using it as an alarm clock I wouldn't want it inches from my head. Smaller would be better in my opinion.

I bought this for my mum who has poor eye sight and dementia. The clock is very easy to read in the dark when set very dim. I unplugged it for a couple of hours to move it and put it in the bedroom and as soon as I plugged it back in the time was correct so should be get a power cut it seems to store enough energy to keep the time. So impressed I got one for myself.

Only one alarm setting available . Can't locate back up batteries

Really nice alarm clock very unobtrusive and easy to use the brightness is fine and really like the sound. Would recommend.

Bought this to replace clock in bedroom. Easy to use and love the idea of reducing the brightness. On a negative note I think the size of numbers are too big and maybe a good idea to have the facility to reduce the size.

A good digital clock that has all the features required of it. The screen is bright though it could be brighter as it is difficult to see in bright sunlight. I like that the clock has a battery so if you by mistake unplug it, the time is stored until the next plug it in.
