We bought this for our senior daughter for Christmas. It is very helpful. She’s made some really good choices after reading this.

I really liked the section on choosing a major and how to declare it "undecided" to avoid being locked in to having to follow certain guidelines should you decide that a different major is a better fit for you. Great ideas on on every aspect of college life! This is the second book I ordered and the reason I gave it only 4 stars is that when I received it it was dirty and had smudges all over it. When I tried to enter the access code, there was no online section that allowed this and it made me wonder if it wasn't a new book but maybe one that had been returned. I tried to download Amazon's Chat App but that didn't work either, probably because I have a Mac. Anyway, I have other grandchildren getting ready for college but I won't be ordering any more copies as gifts unless I can find out about the access code and whether I would be getting a new book.

These are mistakes that apply to everyone not just high school graduates.One mistake that they SHOULD HAVE included was NEGLECTING to build your experience through internships and entry level positions in college. Experience gets you the job not degrees and people need to know that.

Bought for a high school jr. The book seems easy and logical to me as I follow Dave Ramsey principals. The student read and asked so many questions. Led to wonderful discussions. Great gift. Great read to prepare a high school student for college or whatever Road they choose After High School.

Offers warnings about mistakes to avoid. The ultimate goal is to never go in debt. A great encouragement; however, sometimes life gives you lemons and you need to borrow to get through. Focus on the admonitions to be disciplined and to not indulge. This will help you stay out of debt--or to stay in control of your debt.
