I wish it didn’t tip over so easily.
If the base was larger, it wouldn’t tip over so easily. Hooking it under the shelf as intended makes it difficult to read. Is it accurate? How am I supposed to know‽

Paid full price. Hope they're worth it.
Purchased these based upon America's Test Kitchen rating. It turns out my oven lies to me and it takes longer to get to the selected temperature than the oven beep claims it has. So now I ignore the beep and just check the thermometer through the oven window. Easy to position for viewing. Doesn't fall over as easily as past thermometers I've put up with. Still no easier to clean than others of this type, but that's because splatters tend to bake on instantly. Also the reason I bought this set of two, in addition to it being cheaper per unit. I figure the first will eventually get to the point where I won't be able to read it anymore despite my pitiful attempts at cleaning. To extend its useful life, I only place a thermometer in the oven when I need a precise temperature, not for broiling or reheating. With luck, maybe a year from now I'll be able to post a gushing 5 star review bragging about how these thermometers have changed my life for the better. Just don't hold your breath waiting for it. These seem to be a good product, but only time and use will tell.

Just what I needed
Just what I needed. I used these to replace an old oven thermometer. I love the large numbers. Easy to see from the oven door window. My oven is 25+ degrees off from what I set it at so this oven thermometer is vital to proper baking and cooking. I only needed on of these but it doesn't hurt to have a spare. Just out of curiosity I put them both in my oven. I'm cooking a 7lb bone in turkey breast and for the first 30 minutes of cooking them temp needed to be 450 degrees. Both of these read right at 450 so I know they are right. After 30 minutes I turn the oven temp down to 350 for the duration of the cooking time. It's nice to have an accurate oven temp gauge for a change. This is replacing an old oven temp gauge that had finally given up the ghost. The old one still worked but the dial was covered in splatter from cooking and was difficult to read. If I set my oven dial at 350 my oven will get to 300 or a bit less. With this oven thermometer my oven temps are accurate and I don't have an excuse for burning my food

Great Thermometer
I wasn’t sure if my oven was accurate as when I bought my home a couple years ago it came with the stove/oven. One thing I wanted to make sure it was accurate for is about once a month i make Couple of batches of beef jerky and I noticed a couple times it just didn’t come out right it was too well done and I didn’t know if it was the oven or if it was the cook pending on the marinade cooking time gets adjusted. I went to one of my favorite places to look about product reviews as in America’s Test Kitchen and this brand was their recommended oven thermometer though the face was slightly different but that could be because of when the show was made compared to when I bought this. I actually bought two of them and tested them how America’s Test Kitchen recommended and both of them were spot on at 350 degrees. So I’m going to use one in my oven and one outside in my barbecue

Easy to read!
My oven has a mind of its own regarding temperature. I’ve used Taylor thermometers and they constantly fell over, off the rack, and writing so small you had to open the oven to see. Not with these. They were recommended by Am. Test Kitchen and they’re the best ever. You won’t regret buying.

Fairly accurate depending on the model
They seem to be fairly accurate depending on the exact model you receive (I tested against a professional calibrated digital air probe). If you get the DOT2, you may get random results, but if you get the DOT2 (7) version, it should be very close. Keep in mind that this type of thermometer is not very fast. So, before you think that your thermometer is way off, you need to allow it to catch up. Make sure to allow enough time for your oven to preheat (Do not rely on your oven's built-in notification). A minimum of 15 minutes should usually do it. Then allow for another 15 minutes or so. During the first 30 minutes, your oven will go crazy high and crazy low in order to reach the set temperature. After 30 minutes, your oven will usually "calm down" and fluctuate much less. The thermometer should then give you good reading.

3 of 4 units are good. Did you get a bad one? How would you know which one is bad?
I bought a 2-pack and they registered about 50 °F off, and I didn’t know which one was correct. So I ended up buying another 2-pack to find at least 2 thermometers with a similar temperature. I ended up with 3 thermometers with the same temperature and 1 which was 50 °F lower consistently. I plan on returning the bad one and one of the good ones. (I hope that Amazon Warehouse doesn’t resell them!).So I’m happy with 3 out of 4 of them, but it was a pain to find the accurate ones. You may have to do something similar with your purchase.

Double step was recommended, cheaper to by two, and satisfied the scientist inside me.
How would I know if the ONE I bought was working correctly (tho' the reviews were fantastic for the brand & model)? answer: Buy two. Each of these thermometers read the temp the same. (emoticon: hands clapping)My oven temp needs to be jumped by 25 degrees AND pre-warmed AT LEAST DOUBLE the time listed on my oven's read-out- to reach recipe temp suggestions! That explains so much about my beef roasts, as well as me guessing on the baking times and about of fat or liquids of cookies and bars, quick bread etc. (emoticon: extreme-sad-face).$$$$When you pay attention to your electric bill and to how the oven baking AND pre-warming heats up the house & use of the air-conditioner, my "GREEN OVEN" is costing me much extra money over the years. $$$$

Perfect oven temperature readers
My oven was producing some weird and wonderful pastry even when following recipes to the letter. Time to calibrate the oven and I was surprised by the readings. Set at 175c, my oven is actually 195c. At 220c it's 240c.Thanks to these thermometers my baking should improve.I read many reviews and these were the best when professionally tested. Cooks Test Kitchen reviewed over 20 thermometers and these made by CDN were head and shoulders above the rest. Some of the others tested were off by more than 30 degrees. These took almost a month to get here from the USA but the wait was worth it.

Seem to be quite accurate
I bought two of these & their readings agree within 5 C. They are very useful in telling if your oven is accurate at different temperature settings & which areas of your oven are hotter/cooler.

Seems accurate, but can't read Celcius
The Celcius inner scale is too small to read while sitting in the oven.
