Medium Weight Linen White, Fabric by the Yard

Beautiful linen, very dark black with nice drape. Also very see-through. I bought medium to make summer weight pants, but they will have to be lined for modesty sake if I use this.

We bought a length of linen to make a curtain for guests who'd be staying in a spare room with an uncovered window. A professional tailor clean hemmed the linen all the way around and we hung the product with a hanging set we bought from Amazon. The fabric is classic rough linen--light enough to let through fresh air, but heavy enough to ensure privacy.Our guests must have leaned their luggage against the curtain, and once they left we noticed a heavy black smudge on the fabric. We were too lazy to treat it because it would mean taking the curtain off the many hooks, pre-treating, soaking, washing... On a hunch today I used an old toothbrush to try to remove some of the debris. With just a few strokes ALL of it fell away, leaving behind not a trace of the dirt. No need to unhang and treat and wash--saving me an hour or more.My parents were huge linen fans, and now I know why. We're very happy with this simple linen cloth-cum-curtain. Tasteful, simple, economical, and low-maintenance. Win all across the board.

I bought this linen to make Viking shields, and it was the best value I could find.

This linen was perfect. I used it to make a corporal (rectangular linen for our church altar). The medium weight had just the right body for what I needed. I washed it, mitered the corners, and had a cross machine embroidered in the center. It came out great.

Easy to sew with and comfortable to wear!

This fabric is the perfect weight for pants, skirts, dresses. Nice deep black (I bought black linen elsewhere that was more of a charcoal or faded black--this is actually black!) So soft after just one wash!
