Excellent polish, long cycle time, clean wipe down, finish much better than I thought it would. Very pad dependent which is a good thing. Use a cutting pad to remove defects then switch to a finishing pad for the final finish. Or just use a Uro 50-50 pad which does everything well. I usually stick with 3D One for one step, but the 500 cuts faster and a tad better wipe off.

Wow - so I have a metallic grey Mercedes that has some scratches and chips that needed attention. THIS REVIEW addresses some TESTING I DID BY HAND...to give me a better understanding of what to expect BEFORE I use this product with an orbital machine. So my testing was done after applying touchup color and clear coat to damaged areas - and applying wet, 800 to 2000 grit sandpaper. Obviously after the sandpaper - the 1st issue is the fact the clear coat in the area is no longer shiny. FIRST, I tried the products I already had (various scratch remover items and notably Turtle Wax Polishing Compound) and found that by applying, working, and buffing those BY HAND with a MICROFIBER cloth...the results showed more shine, BUT at a level that I would have to apply those products MANY TIMES more to get that clear coat to shine again. Yes, if I USED A MACHINE to do the work, I could save some time and EVENTUALLY, I would achieve the final results I wanted. NOW - I wanted to use THIS PRODUCT and test BY HAND. I definitely noticed faster results using THIS product by hand. the previously SANDED Clear coat shine returned faster and swirl marks were not present. NOW CONSIDER my testing with the earlier products and THIS product USING A MACHINE (orbiter, etc). YOU WILL get faster results with THIS PRODUCT - but you have to NOW CONSIDER faster results CAN ALSO MEAN it now becomes EASIER to OVERUSE the product and cause damage that way. BE SMART WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT. TEST FIRST by hand to GAUGE what to expect! Other uses - BY HAND using microfiber cloths - -- I had a surface scratch on my windshield that produced a 3 inch line I would notice. THIS PRODUCT when applied by hand by rubbing aggressively and watching the scratch in a light....began to disappear and after buffing the results were clean and no rubbing/swirl marks were present. KOOL! -- I wanted to try this product on my headlights using the same BY HAND and cloth method and ALSO got improved results. -- My chrome trim pieces and rims cleaned up nicely, too with this method. Imagine if I used a machine.... All in all, being an amateur - I'm glad I found a product strong enough to show results FASTER when applied by hand, so I can GAUGE the progress and teach myself what to look for. I just felt the other products were too slow (for obvious reasons) which frustrated me when I felt comfortable enough to use a product like this that is much stronger...and not overdo it. enjoy!!!

Using this ACA500 was nice. It cut very well using an orange foam cutting pad. Also is pretty easy to buff off after use. This is a first step, so you will need another product for the 2nd step. I chose 3D One for this purpose. 3D One on a soft finishing pad completely eliminated any hazing created by the ACA500 cutting. Love 3D products.

Excellent to use with a power polisher in the 1000rpm range. Really cuts through grungy looking paint and leaves a nice shine with one step.

I watched a lot of reviews for compounds, and this one was one of the best rated. Used it to remove animal nail scratches from the paint finish on my fender, bumper and hood, and I'm not disappointed. It's very clean like people have said, and that goes a long way towards minimizing clean up afterwards. Good at removing general haze as well. I would recommend it.

I have tried many high end cutting compounds and while most of them have performed well this stuff was next level. It got rid of scratches so quickly and with little product needed. Wish I had known about it years ago! Highly recommend!
