I"m not sure this worked. When I first install it I get twice the speed of my other computer. Once I restart the speed goes below 2mb download while upload is still at 5 mb.

Beware - the utility that comes with this adapter chews up Windows handles like crazy. I installed it and left it running overnight and when I looked the following morning it had consumed over 500,000 handles! Yes, 500K. Why does this matter ? Windows handles are pointers to internal objects needed to run the software. The most common use is for memory allocation, that is, any program has to have some way to keep track of what memory locations they are using. The fact that the amount continues to go up by 20 - 50 new handles every 5 - 10 seconds tells me it is misallocating memory and/or not conducting proper garbage collection and this CAN (not saying it will, buts it very possible) lead to system instability or even a system crash. (For comparison, the next biggest consumer of handles on my machine is Outlook, at about 3,000 handles with no real growth over time) For this reason I will not be using this adapter, at least until the seller can tell me there is a new version that does not do this, at which time I will be glad to update this review accordingly. I downloaded the one provided here in a link, its appears to be the same version as the one on the CD so that's a no go.Edit: Once you get the card configured and running/connected, you can kill the utility and the card keeps the connection alive, so just beware NOT to leave the utility running.(I come from a software development background and have monitoring tools running all the time, otherwise I would not have noticed this, until too late perhaps)

plug in jump on the Internet and don't look back. Frankly probably the easiest wireless device I've worked with. Its really been a while since I've need one, almost everything I own has some kind of wifi built in. Got this for my parents, the wifi card wasn't strong enough to pick up the router in the back room, so got this guy and now all is well. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a simple plug an play experience with a decent speed.

You must use the software driver that comes with it otherwise it won’t work

Should have read the 1-star reviews. Worked great for 2 months then became super fidgety. For a week or two it would stop working and I would have to move it a little bit and it would start working again. Started to have to do that once every 15 minutes. Into the garbage it goes. A bunch of these are sold and are exactly the same item but just with a different sticker on them. Stay away from all of them.

Worked great for hooking a pc to a tv and being a decent distance from the router. Also having both freqs is great too.

I order two of these, one of which i used immediately. It worked great, installed easy, fantastic signal. The second one I put to use about a week ago, the signal iffy. I adjust my case and the casing off the adapter pops open! it kept doing this and now its completely broken, computer doesn't even read it. This is obviously a hit or miss. I'm buying the best seller version instead of this. Hopefully 2 dollars makes a difference.

No it didn't says it would give better wi fi signal but I used it on my TV and computer didn't do no good so I moved my modem from the living room to the bedroom insteadI even took it to a friends it did the same of being worthless I'd give it no stars if I could
