Work great. Good adhesive, good protection.
I use these quite regularly. While I typically use USPS Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelopes, you can only order them 25 at a time from the post office so I typically run out and have to use these. At about 20 cents each, they are dirt cheap. I also use them when I need to ship items via first class mail or UPS or FedEx. The adhesive holds well and they are durable. I never tape over them, I only use the self adhesive to seal them and have yet to have any issues with the first 200 I ordered (just recently used the last one from that box). These get used for items weighing an ounce all the way up to several pounds and they still hold up.EDIT: Still give it 5 stars but wanted to comment that I did receive a batch that had about 50% of them cut wrong or sealed wrong or something. Instead of having about a centimeter of sealed border on the bottom, they would have about a millimeter or less. They would all tear open when you used them unless you taped the bottom. Contacted the seller (manufacturer?) and they immediately sent replacements. I mainly mention this to let you know that the company stands behind its products so if you're thinking about trying these, don't hesitate. Give em a shot and you won't be disappointed.

Good Value
For the price I paid from Value Mailers the Ecolight brand they sent is a good product. At .8 oz it falls into the midpoint of the different brands weight wise. There are lighter ones. I have found that if I am using enough of them with different weight items to stock both the cheapest ones which are usually heavier and some of the lightest weight ones I can find for those times when it will save me 17 cents in shipping. This product sort of falls in the middle. It's the cheapest I found AND fairly light weight. If you are only going to stock one this is the one to stock. Before ordering it might be a good idea to Email the seller about what brand they are selling and how much it weighs. Each seller may be shipping a different brand.

Can't believe these had such good reviews. A $5 credit was offered by seller ...
These envelopes are defective because the seal on one side is huge at 7/8" and then the seal on the other side is under 1/8". It is barely holding the envelope shut especially with something in it. Another problem with these envelopes is the bubble padding. It is way shorter than the envelope by one inch on one side and two inches on the other. Can't believe these had such good reviews. A $5 credit was offered by seller to compensate for this defective case of envelopes but nothing was done. We have used thousands of these padded bubble mailers over the years and can say without a doubt that these are the most poorly made that we have ever encountered. We have to tape the side of the envelope that is barely hanging on by a thread and fold over the top to where padding is so that we have to tape the envelope shut too which is costing more in time/labor also.

varies by seller
I have gone through many orders of this envelope and I hate to pick and choose which seller I recommend but the quality of this product is directly tied to the seller. I have gotten envelopes with water and humidity damage - bad seal - bad bubble - all kinds of problem but i've learned from my mistake of trying to save a few cents. Now I always purchase from ValueMailers - they have yet to disappoint me. (even with sales tax (they ship from my state) it is worth knowing it will be consistent)

Not your standard #2
It's not 8.5 x 11 and it's not the standard #2 size either. I hate it. It's too wide for a trade paperback and not wide or long enough for a James Patterson hard cover. Who mails anything perfectly square?

Good for the price
Most packages are just fine. A few have bent corners and flaps and some of them have a very thin line of glue to seal the package together. Every time I order then are different, but continue to be perfect for the hundreds of items I mail every week!
