The body is aluminum. The shafts and grinders seem to be Stainless Steel. I love mine. You will too!!

Yes. This Mill will certainly grind wheat into a fine flour for bread Very well made.

Q: Can you flake grains with this for quick cooking breakfast cereal?

The attachment is a grain mill. By definition, it grinds the grain into smaller and smaller pieces (chunks), until it is flour. Unfortunately, it is not capable of making 'flakes'. It is a 'dry' mill. To create flakes, you need a 'wet' mill. I have created flakes from whole grains by milling the grains, with my KitchenAid mill, until I have a consistently similar to corn meal. Then add water to the mixture to make a grainy paste. Spread it out on a piece of parchment paper or wax paper until it is about 1/8 to 1/16 inch thick, and let it dry. When dry, cover it with another piece of parchmnent paper or wax paper and using a rolling pin, break it up into the sized flakes you desire.

Q: Can this unit grind Coffee?

No. you are better off with a coffee grinder.
