4.5 starsOf all the almond syrups I tried (BG Reynolds, Sonoma Syrup Co, Monin, 1883..) this one has the most noticeable and lasting almond flavor, with virtually no artificial taste. No orange / vanilla notes (ingredients lists only mentions sugar syrup, water, natural flavors, gum arabic)..

Pretty good. I was using the "Small Hands" Orgeat which I like very much, but the store where I always bought it changed owners and it was no longer available there. Hard to find in stores even though its made 2 towns over from me!The ingredient list isn't as scary as some other "almond" syrups I've seen although this stuff contains only 0.02% almonds. That means essentially none, I think. I believe it is the "flavor" ingredient that imparts the almond-ish taste and smell.This syrup is better than the totally sickeningly sweet stuff generally available. Makes a decent Mai Tai.

This orgeat syrup is fabulous in cocktails (trinidad sour is my favorite). It is light, but sweet enough to add balance to a cocktail and it is made with all natural ingredients, no HFCS or other fake sugar crap. A worthwhile purchase.
