The metal blades are not all that great but for the price it works.

They look and feel like good blades, can't wait to use them

Cuts like butter, much better than bimetal for a steel upper tube for a 6 foot tall chain link fence.

The Jefe Hex reciprocating saw blades were ordered for use in my workshop and around our home. This set of 10 blades are made for use with metal, plastic, wood and other materials. I do not generally use saws to cut metal, and thus tested the blades on wood & plastic.These blades are made of M42 metal (molybdenum series high-speed steel alloy with an additional 8 - 10% cobalt). This designation is for those steel products that are considerably higher quality metal. I definitely like this quality since it certainly makes the blade much harder. Also, these blades fit my Craftsman reciprocating saw perfectly. The kit includes three 9 inch blades and eight 6 inch blades for use in cutting various materials.The blades were tested in my reciprocating saw and cut through a 3-inch limb with ease. In addition, there was also no issue with roughly cutting through a 2 X 4. The saw was also used to cut through some PVC, and again the blades handed the job superbly. When I use these blades on metal, I'll also use a little cutting oil and a vice for assurance. The blades did not dull easily on wood, and hopefully will retain their sharpness through many cuttings.BOTTOM LINE: I was impressed with the quality of the blades. They cut through wood and plastic easily. Based on my experience with other reciprocating saw blades, these are as good or better than those I've used previously. At their current price point, they are an exceptional buy, and I would order again.

These are pretty good (not great) blades. I'll be the first to admit that I'm kind of a heavy user when it comes to sawzall blades. I've found that even the super cheap blades are OK for most uses, but only the cream of the crop are good for really heavy use. I'm not talking about super thick steel, but hard steel, like stainless. I've found that the "Torch" model from a big name brand tool company is probably the best. These Jefe ("boss" in Spanish FWIW) blades are good, but they did not hold up or cut nearly as well as the Torch blades. They are comparable to most of the standard name brand blades I've purchased from big box stores, like the yellow Dewalt blades and the standard Lenox blades.
