“Perfect Addition for Quick and Reliable Shelter”
I recently purchased the WILD EARTH SQUARE Sun Canopy Awning (240cm x 240cm in dark grey) as an additional canopy for my VW Transporter, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s incredibly quick and easy to set up, making it ideal for those spontaneous stops or short stays. The canopy provides excellent coverage, offering great shade on sunny days and reliable shelter during unexpected rain showers. The dark grey color looks sleek and modern, complementing my van perfectly. It’s well-made, sturdy, and feels like it will stand the test of time.If you’re looking for a versatile and practical canopy for your camper van, motorhome, or caravan, I highly recommend this one. It’s a fantastic addition to my setup, and I wouldn’t head out without it!

Quality and value for money
We usually use an awning but thought this would be a good alternative for a last minute weekend away. It was easy to erect and is good quality. I have just ordered two extra poles for the middle eyelets on the sides, but it works well with the three it's supplied with. The other two will provide extra stability on windy days. Takes up very little space in our SWB van and is quite light. I can't fault it.

Good lightweight awning
Easy to put up, worked well in the rain and quite windy conditions, price is good for the quality.

After all these years, one that does it all...
Ok, I've a caravan, not a campervan. The thing my Eriba caravan shares with a campervan however is a low awning rail.I've had the caravan for 20 years now and have tried all kinds of rain/sun canopies never being able to find the perfect one..The main problems I've found with ones I've wasted money on in the past is;1) Too much hassle to erect..2) Some rely on poles to create a rain repellent dome, but collapse inward given any reasonable strong wind (creating instead a potentially destructive pool of water instead). Avoid ..3) They pool water anyway (poles to create dome incorporated or not) which in your absence may lead to a destroyed canopy or a damaged vehicle awning rail.. You only know this after you've spent your hard earned money...I've already got an expensive full awning that can be pared down to make a sun canopy, but it takes hours to erect just that, weighs a ton in poles and just ain't worth the hassle tbh. This little sun canopy takes just 20 minutes max to erect (honestly.. if no stones in ground to negociate, make that 10).I also noted the only comparable canopy to this is only 200mm water resistant hydrostatic head, whereas this is 300mm.. Much better.I'd suggest avoiding that brand too, as it incorporates fibre poles to create a "dome" in the canopy to repel water...I can absolutely guarantee that this dome will collapse downwards in high winds leading to it filling with rain water which will either trash the canopy set itself if you are out for the day (if your lucky), or (worse) the weight will damage your vehicles canopy rail...Just don't... I've been there...Please look at my picture to see how I've got the ultimate benefit from the canopy for my particular caravan. As it has the same awning rail height as a camper van or Bongo (etc), I'd suggest going with that...I threw several buckets of water into the most vulnerable middle area (nearest the caravan), and despite momentarily pooling, threw itself down the middle area and onto the grass at the creased area created by the middle guy lines in my picture... Not a drop passed through the actual canopy. This canopy in this configuration with fairly tight guy lines will eject any type of downpour...Shouldn't be a first, but it is ..Massively recommended...The price is about right for what it is... It's not a fantastic bargain at £80, but it is the right solution at a very fair price...PS: Further notes...I did my research & noted a YouTube video review stating the poles in the basic (not deluxe) version to be a bit flimsy... NB.. they're not flimsy.. a bit rattly given they are assembled from very short lengths of solid steel, but definitely very strong and tough...I went for the non deluxe version because it seemed to me to be less pooling risk (it's 0.6m longer going out from the vehicle), but cannot obviously testify to this. Its probably fine.I'd have probably gone for that had it also a keder strip on the 3m side, but appreciate it's marketed at shorter camper vans which would not benefit from this....Eriba/Pop tops which maybr would as it would give more sheltered space close to the body of the caravan... That being said dealing with the pooling possibility may also be why this was not considered.Maybe something for the manufacturer to think of as Eriba Pop tops are a niche market also and there are quite a lot out there (especially in Europe). You'll note the canopy looks amazing on mine and I can assure you no one else makes a worthy, low cost and speedy alternative that doesn't have drawbacks...I also went for that as it comes with stronger (yet heavier and cheaper) poles. I'm equally sure the alu telescopic ones (deluxe) are up to anything weather wise, but didn't seen the need for this really. The weight of the bag and full contents for the non deluxe is very light anyway. The alu pegs seem very thin and pretty strong, but steel ones may need to replace them in due course and given the inevitability of rocky pitching.PPS:I'm happy to in depth test and ultimately review the deluxe version also if the company are interested in sending me a sample (with mind to the extra shade and protection it would seem to possibly afford)? I'd like to check out the telescopic alu poles too as obviously if they've got adequate inherent strength they would certainly trump the steel ones (weight and presumably storage volume wise).I didn't expect this one to be half as good, so it's a big tick for everything from me...

simple yet very effective
Small and compact with big impact. Its well made and the poles are sturdy. This sun canopy is easy to put up on my own. The shape configurations are so versatile, so not only great for shade but good for shelter. Because it fits into a well made bag its easy to stow away. Its the simplest idea but it is the awning I'm taking everywhere now, in my camper. OK its not the cheapest, but I think its a great product.

Quick easy set up
What a fantastic little canopy, it took us 5 minutes to put up. Perfect for sitting under in Sun or rain. It gives you the feel of extra space, without the hassle of putting up an awning. I go to the caravan to relax, not spend ages putting up an awning that I'd never sit in. This Canopy is perfect, light weight and doesn't take up much space. Highly recommend 🙂

Came with holes in the material
When setting this canopy up for the first time, I noticed it had lots of holes in the material. Not good for a new item.
