I tested them, they seem to work
This is about as easy a set up as it gets, remove the back, add 3 AAA batteries. Done. As soon as the batteries are in, a voice comes on that says "testing". It does some sort of test for 2 minutes and then the reader went to zero for me.I placed one on a shelf in my room, no need for the screws and it stood by itself against the wall. You do have the option of mounting them with screws that come with the units.I wanted to make sure that it would actually detect CO so I snuffed a candle and put the reader in the path of the smoke. It went up to 79 for a couple minutes and gradually went back down to zero.Keep in mind that carbon monoxide doesn't occur naturally in the environment, it is entirely man-made so if the levels in your home are showing higher than 5PPM and you don't have a gas stove for example, you need to look into it. Anything less than 50PPM for 8 hours or less is not worrisome for a healthy adult but I wouldn't take chances.CO detectors will not set off alarms unless the levels of carbon monoxide stays at harmful levels for sustained amounts of time. This is how it should work.40 PPM for 10 hours alarm should sound50 PPM 8 hours alarm should sound70 PPM 1 to 4 hours alarm should sound150 PPM 10 to 50 minutes alarm should sound400 PPM 4 to 15 minutes alarm should sound

Works great! Great price for three and recommended!
Some people think Carbon Monoxide and CO2 are the same, but both are different and both require their own detectors. And in the home, as important as it is to be a smoke detector, one should also have a carbon Monoxide and a Carbon Dioxide Meter.Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, flammable gas that is slightly less dense than air. While Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a colorless and non-flammable gas at normal temperature pressure. The latter is primarily used to check for air quality and also important to have to detect the gas levels in your home, especially when you turn on your oven.In the US, Carbon Monoxide kills more than 500 Americans from accidental exposure and thousands needs emergency care for non-fatal carbon monoxide poisoning. May it be through house fires or faulty gas appliances. You may have heard stories of people sleeping in their home or apartment or even at a hotel that had a leaking gas device and unfortunately, when you do hear news about it, it’s typically fatalities.I have owned Carbon Monoxide detectors and from experience, no matter who cheap or how expensive they are, it's important that these get replaced often because while it's smart to have batteries changed (as they do die out within a year or two). The DASINKO Carbon Monoxide Detector 3-Pack is pretty cool because you get three. You can keep a few as spares, or give it to a family member, friend or neighbor and it's fairly inexpensive at $40 for three! The device is easy to use, just add three AAA batteries and the LCD displays the PPM and also features a test/reset button. It's easy to use. Install the three AAA batteries (not include) and a voice prompt will say to please wait two minutes for preheating and it will display in two minutes. Press the test button, the LCD screen will show "0" ppm and the red LED flashes every 30 seconds to make sure it's working and the alarm level is indicated on the LCD.When the unit detects carbon monoxide gas more than 30PPM, it will sound off an alarm and a voice prompt. Also, if there is low batteries or sensor failure, the device will also let you know. The device comes with mounting accessories and for the most part, works perfectly.Overall, the DASINKO Carbon Monoxide Detector 3-Pack is recommended!

For this winter I have an emergency propane heater
So I do need the carbon monoxide detector which is near the heater (meaning near the floor) since most gasses do congregate near the floor where you would not notice them until it was too late. Having this 3 pack gives me detectors to put close, medium and further away so that I can monitor if there is more flowing away from the heater. The only down side about the 3-pack is that each detector needs 3 AAA batteries that are NOT included so you won't be able to set them up unless you have several AAA batteries on hand. I do - I invested in a fairly large supply of AA and AAA rechargeable batteries, plus a pair of C's & D's and last, 2-9V batteries, all rechargeable. Pays to have rechargeables on hand! But do be aware you will need a bunch of batteries when you get these detectors. They give me peace of mind and that's important.

Peace of Mind
I ordered these for peace of mind while using our gas logs in the winter. I have one in each of our bedrooms throughout the house. These seem well made. The alarm is nice and audible and as an added bonus it has a display of the current carbon monoxide levels. So far I have not seen anything other than a 0 on the display. Another added bonus is that these do not have to be hardwired and can be put anywhere. I have been satisfied and will test detection capability in the future.

Easy to install
These are super easy to install. Just mount them wherever you need them, don't have to worry about wires and static wall plates. With a crawler and a toddler I set them low since CO is a heavy gas. So far so good! Will update with battery life of problems if I hit any. For the price, this is a really good set

Easy Setup, Seems to Work Fine
I got these because I moved recently and realized we didn't have a carbon monoxide detector in the house yet. These arrived quickly, and were very simple to understand and setup right out of the box. You just pop in some batteries, and it does a countdown for a couple of minutes, and then it's good to go. There's a button where you can test it to hear the alarm sound, and the display is simple enough to understand. I haven't thoroughly tested the accuracy of this detector, but everything seems to be working fine right out of the box!It also comes with a couple of screws and some anchors to install it on your wall. Simple enough!Overall, I'm happy with these detectors!
