ST Racing Concepts ST6839GM Aluminum Heavy Duty Front Shock Tower for Slash 4 x 4 (Gun Metal)

i bought these as an upgrade from plastic and I love them. They look great and the shock tower flex is gone. It seems that they are slightly different than stock. I had to reposition my shocks after mounting them in the same configuration as the plastic ones. It's wasn't difficult but something to consider. On the front shocks I had to move the control arm mounting position out more toward the wheels. In the rear I didn't have to change anything.Finally having metal threaded mounting holes was a big factor in making this purchase because over time, screwing and unscrewing the shocks seems to wear out the screw holes in the plastic towers. Also the shoulder screws come with (in my opinion) short threaded portion and I always felt that it would have a more solid mounting if they were longer but with the metal that is not longer an issue.

It looks good and is stiffer than the stock plastic towers. I don't like the cheap looking cylinders that extend to the shock heads. These are screwed into the tower and get loose over time, actually every screw attached to the tower will get loose quicker than the stock plastic ones...so keep an eye out for that.
