Exorcist House Of Evil

This was not as bad as some of these reviews are claiming. My husband and I agree. We watch a lot of movies and over the years have seen some truly bottom of Barrell stuff. This movie is not Hollywood material but yet it's far from horrible. It's a decent movie with a story about a family being haunted by the devil. The cinematography was good. It was shot by a professional, no college kid shaky camera work. The acting was actually good, we have seen a lot worse. If we had rented it, we wouldn't feel like we were robbed or had lost an hour and half of our time. Parents guide: No sex or nudity, minimal profanity, no gore, mild violence, no alcohol or drugs, some frightening and intense scenes for the younger audience.

It was a good movie. I really liked it and would highly recommend it, but it is not comparative to the Exorcist. I was really hoping for a movie that would set me on the edge like The Exorcist did. In a sense, I was let down because for some reason I thought the movie would go into a full blown possession and we would see an updated version of Regan, that was my bad for assuming, however, I did love the fact the movie was filmed in the original house. Of course you would have to ask, who would want to live there? I give it four stars because it was good, thrilling, and it did make me jump here and there. It is highly worth the watch.

This movie was better than I expected. The storyline was a bit jumbled but not incoherent. If you like possession type movies then you will probably like this. Given that the vast majority of Prime eligible horror flicks are beyond terrible and look like they were made for $20, my expectations were low going in. But it looks like there was some production work put in and at least one of the actors I've seen in something else. This is worth a watch if you like this type of movie and have seen most of the other movies that require a rental fee.

It was a good movie overall BUT My only problem with the movie was Amy holding a darn flashlight a couple times where a flashlight wasn’t even needed. I don’t know why that bothered me so much but it did. I mean, If you are going to try and make a scary scene with a flashlight.... at least make it dark so we can’t see anything but the light of the flashlight. It makes it more suspenseful. Just my opinion.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews. I thought the movie was excellent! It's more an atmospheric film; don't expect a jump every two seconds, nor blood and gore everywhere. It's not necessary for people who enjoy storylines to have an abundance of special effects. One reviewer actually said "There isn't one special effect."First of all, that's laughable, as there are many simple, effective and not-overused effects. Second: Special effects do not MAKE a movie, a story does. Sheesh.I read that it was a low budget film, but if it was, it didn't look like it. I thought the actors and director did quite well telling a story. And what a story it was -- I only wish they'd have shown more / delved more into the great-aunts, aunts and uncles story.

Not a bad movie enjoys and suspenspful. To me no horror. Would of have it 4 stars but the ending to me wasn't what I exspected. It is a movie to watch if there is nothing else to watch. It will not be a waste of your time.

This movie was ok. Not great. There was not a whole lot of scary parts at all.When I watch a movie with exorcism in the title I expect there to be some scary demonic exorcist things going on. I watched both 1 and 2 and they both left me hoping for more but not getting it.The end was a complete disappointment in both movies.

There isn't ONE single special effect in the entire thing... mindless conversations and the camera looking over the girl's shoulder at various meaningless documents. There are, in effect, 3 people in this movie (cameo roles from a dying aunt and a middle aged priest), so the whole movie is the three main people wandering around a very ordinary house talking about 'stuff', I say that because you tune the drivel out and they are just talking. You probably wont believe me when I say NOTHING happens, but seriously, nothing happens. It is a complete waste of everyone's time. The Lead actress (if you can call her that) looks good in minimal clothing, they should have given her more skimpy outfits because it's all I can say about this worthless waste of everybody's time. In whose addled brain did this even seem like a viable idea? If you make a possession movie people will expect someone to be possessed, at the very least a demon... the cop at the very end who's kinda possessed for 2 minutes doesn't cut it. Bad!

This is probably the worst film I've seen which is supposed to be about exorcism etc. The acting, if you can call it that, was absolutely dreadful.By all accounts it was filmed in the house when a young lad was allegedly possessed in the 1940's. The most scary thing about this tripe was the fact I sat & watched it through to the end. The young lady who returns to the house couldn't act to save her life! Talk about a wooden performance.I should have realised there is nothing scary about this film as it's only got a 15 certificate. A 'U' certificate would have been more apt.After I watched this rubbish I immediately threw it in the dustbin where it belongs. If you want to waste a couple of quid on rubbish, may I suggest you donate that to some charity, do NOT waste your money buying this rubbish.

Love this film.....well tense.....didn't find a boring moment in it.....have watched it a few times already. Well pleased with purchase !!!

Yes was a good film, few parts make you jump. Worth a watch, but not as good as the others in this series.
