Everything About The Kindle Paperwhite Is Covered!
I've been reading about the Kindle Paperwhite on Amazon's product page and while it lists all the features, it doesn't really tell you much more than that, or if it will be easy to use. As a bit of a thrifty, self confessed 'technophob' I didn't want to spend that much money if I thought I couldn't use it, but I do love to read, so I wanted answers. That's where this guide comes in!In the course of my research on the product, I came across this manual and boy am I glad that I did! The author has covered absolutely everything! She doesn't just describe the features, she goes into great detail, in a step by step fashion, so that you can follow along and understand how to make use of the features and what their benefits are too.For example, explaining how to use features such as the dictionary, sharing to social networks, tapping in to real time community comments on the book you are reading, surfing the web, making collections, taking screenshots and even the approximate time it'll take to finish a chapter! But for me the most impressive thing that I hadn't realised is that you can send any sort of file to your kindle paperwhite from everywhere via a kindle email that you get when you register the device!Particularly helpful for me will be the in depth troubleshooting section. I know I will need it at some point! Now that I have this manual, I know I can follow along and get the most out of my Kindle Paperwhite...yes I have made my decision...I'm getting one! Many thanks to the author. I highly recommend you get this manual.

Informal writing style, easy to follow, a pleasure to read!
As a fellow Amazon best-selling author, reading Kindle books became part of my lifestyle. I'm quite sure there is probably nothing more convenient than looking for some help on a certain topic, picking up your Kindle mobile device and have instant access to literally millions of books on Amazon Kindle, giving you the help you need.As a soon-to-be owner of my first Kindle mobile device, in search for the best fit to my personal reading needs, I got introduced to the author's guide that walks you through every single step in the setup and maintenance process, from the moment it arrives at your front door.Unfortunately I can't tell what the official user manual looks like yet but I can assure you, it won't be written in such a personal- and user-friendly style than this author's guide. To me personally, this element makes it an absolute pleasure to learn all the features of the Paperwhite. What I love most is the author's honesty and transparency right from the very start, with useful tips I am almost certain aren't included in the official guide. These can only be obtained through personal experience gained from using the product. If the Paperwhite is in your eyesight and you were having thoughts about spending countless hours trying to figure out how to do something as simple as transferring files between your device and any PC or Mac, this guide comes in very high on my recommendation list. Informal writing style, easy to follow, a pleasure to read!

OK
Does provide basic info, but not the answer I needed: How do you get to see the page number and length of reading time left in the book. I had that for all the books I read on the Kindle Paperwhite. Then I must have accidentally bumped some setting that shows it because for the life of me, I can't seem to find how to get it back to showing that info for every book. That to me, seems like a basic setting which would have been covered in this book.

Help!!
I still can't figure out how to stop my Kindle from loosing my place- it has a tendency to go backwards and then I have to find the chapter it's in and go through every page until I find it because it might put me in a chapter that I haven't read yet and I have no way of going back because my Kindle will go 2 pages back and then 5 pages forward while tapping it on the left of the page. The backwards feature doesn't work right. I just re-read my manual to find how to display the page numbers so that when it loses my place I can "Go To" and type the page number in. Not only can I not figure out how to put the page numbers in the display, I can't find the page in the User Manual that tells me how to do it. I am very frustrated...

it was great. Can you give me help on that
I didn't find how you get to the Oxford dictionary nor did I find how to get to the free books that are already in the Kindle. I'll read it again - maybe it's in there. Otherewise, it was great. Can you give me help on that? Is there a way to ask HELP? Thanks.

Handy little helper
This is a nice, concise manual. It is useful if you have a question and don't have internet access. Personally, I'd be more apt to use Amazon's help pages but I am usually connected to the internet. I wouldn't have bought it but as a free book it is well worth the download.

Would really like to print it our!
I would like to have the information come to my PC so I could print it out and see it while I try things on the Kindle. The same is true for the Beginner's Guide that I purchased at the same time. If there is a way to do this, please let me know.

Disappointed in new Kindle
I bought the original Kindle when it came out. I loved it. Why were so many of it's features changed?I miss the listing of all my books in alphabetical order.I miss the tabs on the sides to change pages.I miss my old Kindle due to a partial blackout on the screen.I feel you have ruined the Kindle.I read all my books on my old Kindle until now. Now I buy books in paper often.Maryann Ste.Marie

Nearly sent back
Yes, it's true I did nearly send the Kindle back although it's a cracking device, you get little or no help in using it,and the stupid place to put the on/off switch,on the bottom of the reader.I first downloaded the free version of the manual but soon gave up on that and paid for the book,so much easier to follow. Before I bought the book I tried to work it out by experimenting with it,you can't, it is a huge and complicated device so take my advice and buy the book, you won't regret it.

Good book
As it is difficult to use the Kindle and look up the instructions, this seemed an obvious choice. Well written and in the main perfectly clear. One point, nowhere did it tell you how to turn the Kindle off. I had to go online and use the Amazon, Kindle help pages
