My go-to Bass Strings
I've been using DR strings for many years now. Not just the Hi-Beams. If you're looking for a bright tone with plenty of body, these are a good option. They are stainless steel, so your fingers will feel the difference if you're coming from nickel strings. In other words, they are harder. But this also makes them last longer and sound brighter for a longer period of time. Unfortunately, it's not hard to ruin the strings either. I've had my bass sit in environments where just a few weeks were enough to make the strings sound dull. Be aware of this when you use these strings: they are sensitive to moisture/humidity. They will still sound good, but the tone will change drastically. (some people actually like that)

Excellent tones
Perfect for ridiculously bright, clean slap tones AND for that cranky prog metal sound when coupled with overdrive or high gain. Definitely my go to for bright, piano-like sounds.

Great bass strings!
Worth the money, although it wasn’t much, however, these strings were really bright in tone as soon as I slapped them onto my bass. They lasted a while before they started getting dirty which was about 2-3 months. Would buy these again. I highly recommend these if you’re trying to get that really bright tone.

Para mí, las mejores cuerdas que existen! Son muy pero muy duraderas, y en ese caso es de las cosas más importantes que deben tener unas cuerdas. Justo esta serie, las hi-beam tienen un brillo especial y te da un excelente sonido! Son las que compro siempre

I just put them on yesterday. So far I’m pretty happy with them. I was looking for strings with more punch and these seem to have it so I think they are keepers.

Love DR strings ,had issues with red devils being dead out out of the packet ,so thought I'd try hi beams as they get good reviews ,they sound and feel great ,waited till they were on offer ,sound bright and zingy but lots of bottom end ,no issues with dead strings on these
