Good book on a most interesting person
I've read a few books about Allen Dulles over the years, as well as a few in which he is a major character. Dulles' work as an OSS agent stationed in Switzerland during WWII makes for great reading, and covers the period that "made" his reputation as a "Spymaster". I think, once you read this book, you'll get a better understanding as to why the CIA under Dulles developed as it did. This book is well written, and doesn't require you to be an expert in the era or have a particular interest in the world of espionage beyond what drew you to the title. Based on what I've read about Dulles elsewhere, I think this book "captures" him quite well. If you like this book, I would also recommend you give the book "Disciples", by Douglas Waller a try. In addition to Dulles, Waller's book covers the OSS and later CIA careers of other CIA Directors who started out in Donovan's OSS.

Agent 110-WW Two OSS Spymaster and German Resistance
AGENT 110: AN AMERICAN SPYMASTER IS A VERY WORTHWHILE READ! I bought the book based on the WSJ review this week.I am a student of World War Two history, and also of the extraordinary life of Allen Dulles I appreciated reading this espionage thriller. I see a connection in the way the Allies and especially, the U.S shaped events in defeating a gigantic, powerful military machine. Led by leaders such as Donovan and Dulles, the men and women of the OSS achieved some very great victories. Of course, there were many brave, good ( and imperfect) souls inside the German side who did their part.Their legacy lives on to this day. I highly recommend this great book. Author Scott Miller brings out a lot of new facts and insight. It is written in a clear, easily understood and very interesting narrative. Well documented too. There are a lot of mysteries as to how the Germans met with some military failures that seemed to defy logic.I believe Scott Miller helps to explain some of that in a very meaningful way.

Who was Agent 110?
There is interesting information regarding World War II in this book about American intelligence operations in Switzerland during World War II. For people who lived through that time, there is information probably unknown to the reader. For people who have studied little about this time of history, there is action and people worth knowing. A good book for anyone interested in history and that time period. It is definitely a page turner.

Great story, not that well told
Allen Dulles certainly had a remarkable life, well worth reading about. I was disappointed in the manner in which each story was too briefly summarized, almost rushed through. The book either needed a deeper dive into a particular mission or been a few hundred pages longer. Read a bit like a middle school biography.
