Very worthy MCU movie & great start to something spectacular to come!
FIRST and FOREMOST... do NOT read any of the comments / reviews for this movie... including mine below. Go and watch the movie for yourself without any possible doubt & bias and make up your own mind. Even if just to rent it before buying. That now being said...I don't know what's wrong with many of the naysay reviewers for this movie, other than that many of them appear to be just haters & trollers that are purposely writing negative reviews. Granted, not everyone is going to like every movie, but many of the reviews I've read seem purposely negative for the sake of being negative. I see it on many other movies reviews, as well as social media platforms more n more... it's like a negative cancer that is spreading faster n faster in this world where people are just wanting to be negative for the simple reason being negative. But, I digress.I will first say that, yes, this MCU movie isn't exactly the same in exact tone as the 22-movie Infinity Saga run of MCU movies, but it definitely is an MCU-class movie with plenty of awe & wonder, with great story telling. This movie is definitely not on par with the DCU's more "dark" motive of story telling, like how I've some attempt to compare it to, but I will admit to it having a bit more seriousness... and rightfully so. I'm not going to give away any spoilers mind you but, upon completion of watching the movie, I believe many of you will understand why. I'd say this movie (possible/hopeful arc) is actually similarly related to the GotG realm vs Earth & it's Avengers, and it wouldn't surprise me if there is a crossover or collaboration with the GotG in up coming Eternals / GotG movies... with perhaps an Avengers mixings even later on down the line as a bigger saga climatic event draws nearer to Feige's vision. As far as my mentioning of the DCU above, I as well enjoy their movies too and can tell a difference in them vs MCU. Hell, I never saw the deserving backlashing that Green Lantern received after it came out. Granted, I now prefer RR as DP, but that doesn't negate my liking of DCU's attempt at Green Lantern when it came out and have wished its sequel had been made. But regardless, DCU's vision of a more darker & more brooding approach to telling their stories seems to work for them. Although, I will admit that WB/DC's inclusion of a bit more jokes in recent movies was a welcome addition. So, even if an MCU movie were to come along that would be more in-line with how DCU makes theirs, then so be it. That doesn't mean it will be an awful movie nor worth of trashing it for the sake of some being "Team MCU vs Team DCU" extremists.Did his movie introduce a lot of new characters at once?... yes. Did this movie introduce new mythos' & character drama?... yes. Did this movie underwhelm at doing either?... absolutely not. Can this movie have some drawn-out "slow" scenes?... sure. But did that ruin the movie or cause one to lose focus?... heck no! If anything, it works for this movie. One thing that also will help for some to better understand what they watch, is the bonus features. For me, I didn't need them to have enjoyed the movie, but rather it helped me to understand a bit more about the movie's creative view & bringing to life from behind the camera.Going by the theatrical trailers I saw beforehand and my un-avoidance of reading some reviews, I will say that this MCU movie wasn't what I was expecting. But that actually worked out out great because, I think the movie movie was way better than how I assumed it would be... and that's a rarity when most of today movie preview trailers tend to give away too much and/or mislead by showing only the good parts prior to actually watching the movie in it's entirety. If you didn't take head to my warning advise at the beginning before watching this movie and have (obviously lol) read down this far, I beg of you to watch it for yourself be truthful to yourself rather than be influenced by haters & trolls. If you genuinely don't like this movie, fair enough... but at least review it fairly rather than an apparent dogmatic approach.

Entertaining if bloated origin story for Jack Kirby creation.
‘Eternals” created by Jack Kirby isn’t quite as a straight ahead adaption as some of the other Marvel films that were done during Phase I and Phase II. Nevertheless, the resulting film remains an entertaining if flawed presentation of Kirby’s creation. The core of a terrific Marvel film is buried under slow pacing, some under developed characters and conflicts. At 2 1/2 hours the film takes a too leisurely pace to tell a story that should and could have been far more compelling. Nevertheless, the director does get some things right here-the epic scope Md the casting is perfect for the film even if the actors need more to work with for each character.Still, much of the criticism aside from that seems directed at the films almost deconstructionist approach to super heroes quesiot9(ng their purpose. The film reminded me a bit of the Zach Snyder cut of “Justice Leage” in terms of its over all tone. The Eternals were sent to Earth to protect our planet from the Deviants a race of creatures that want to wipe out humanity. The Eternals are here to also help shape human development and destiny. After centuries, the heroes go to find their own lives separate from each other as they’ve wiped out the Deviants and have no further direction from their leader the celestial being Aersham. When the Deviants show up again after centuries, the group of heroes reunite. The 4K looks really good-it isn’t a huge step up IMHo from the regular blu-ray. Detail,is ever so slightly stronger particularly during darker sequences. It will still provide a nice 4K experience. If you choose the regular Blu-Ray, the film looks quite. I’ve there as well. The immersive audio is presented in 7.1 and sounds pretty good with nice depth and detail. I know some Disney/Marcel releases have been a bit of a let down when it comes to the audio but this one sounds quite nice.Extras are decent-a commentary track with the director along with the visual effects supervisors. There’s also a 10 minute featurette on the comics, movie and characters as well as one that gives us a run down on the characters. We also get a gag reel and about six minutes of deleted scenes.‘Eternals” may feel like Marvel by-numbers but there is a great story at the core of the film which is bloated while still not providing enough character development. It feels too long by half an hour partially due to the pacing which remains glacial for half of the film.Still, it’s an entertaining film and, flaws aside, it seemed like the a[preach to the material and the heroes questioning their role may have not been what audiences and critics were expecting.

Great
I enjoyed watching this movie and would recommend it to anyone. There are some inherent issues with the movie which I noticed that some people may not like, but overall, the story is enjoyable and not deserving of a 1-star rating. The best advice is to watch it for yourself and conclude your own decision.

The quality is great
I have a decent high dollar 4k uhd player and a oled tv and honestly compared to other 4k movies and 4k shows the quality just isn't there... idk if it just a fluke on my disc or what but it looks dark and very grainy and when I go to look into playing detail this disc doesn't show all the information like others.... the movie itself is good to me at least so that's why the 3 stars but the picture quality for a 4k disc is a 1 star

Great and outstanding
Eternals is a visually stunning film that introduces a new group of powerful heroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie explores deep themes of immortality, duty, and humanity, offering a more philosophical take on the superhero genre. With a diverse cast and strong performances, especially from Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, and Richard Madden, the characters feel fresh and unique. While the pacing can be slow at times, the breathtaking cinematography and epic scale make it a compelling watch. Overall, Eternals is an ambitious and thought-provoking addition to the MCU, though it may not appeal to everyone.
