Gallery Models U.S. Marines Aircraft Helicopter Model Kit

These were surprisingly one of the best sets in this scale that I have purchased. They are very highly detailed despite their small size. They are tiny on purpose for scale modeling but I purchased them to have modern helicopter models for war gaming, which these turned out to be perfect for. The smallest aircraft were the super cobra and harrier which I could fit all four (two Cobras and two harriers) in my palm at once. The rotors are very thin and can break easily. They are modeled in clear plastic which can make it hard to see the detail at first but once you prime them the paint makes the detail pop.I am very very happy with this purchase and may pick up another pack just to build.

Although I bought this from another site, I thought I'd leave a review. First of all, these aircraft are in 1/350 scale, and are intended to supplement the aircraft included with the Gallery Models USS Wasp and USS Iwo Jima kits. These aircraft are molded in high-quality clear plastic, that unlike most other types I have used is not as brittle. The set includes two of each aircraft pictured, with options for the MV-22 Osprey, MH-53 Sea Dragon, and CH-46 Sea Knight to have their rotors either in stow or flight mode. Each model goes together easily and has good detail.My only complaint is that the AV-8B Harrier does not have weapon pylons or drop tanks on it. If you want Harriers that have those, buy the ones from Bronco Models.This is a high-quality product that is great for adding to your LHD models, and also work as cheaper alternatives to the GHQ aircraft for wargamers.P.S. I am reviewing with nearly seven years of experience in model building.
