Best sandals ever, but be careful of sizing
I have walked HUNDREDS of miles in these very comfortable sandals! They are sturdy and cushy,. The straps have also stayed in very good shape. The velcro strap is not as "sticky" after a few years, but that is reasonable. I've been able to walk anywhere, wet or dry, on smooth or rough ground.I wore size 7 sandals and needed to replace them.Beware:The "OLD" size 7 sandals are the size length as the "NEW" size 7.5.(The "NEW" size 7 sandals are shorter than the "OLD" size 7. )

Comfort with support
These look a bit plain. However, they actually look very nice on and the style is very versatile. The moment I put these on, I knew I was keeping them! They are nice and lightweight and the footbed has a proper amount of support. These needed no breaking in!And the thickness of the wedge sole provides a nice cushiony feel!Other reviews complained that the velcro closure was too short and many found it necessary to add additional velcro. Thisappears to have been corrected. I only had toadjust the velcro strap slightly and very littlewas left sticking out. Just a tiny amount.I would love a pr in the lavender but afraid those are out of my price range. At least blk will go with everything so I am a very happy new sandal owner!

So far, so good.
I am still wearing them around inside. It is still winter here but I do like them so far. I’ve got difficult to fit feet and these are good so far. Stretch in the front band give them some room for my one wide foot and not slip on the other. I feel they have good support for my very high arches and are stable plus sturdy while walking. The strap across the middle accommodates my extremely high instep too.As others have noted the Velcro tab should be redesigned longer in the next iteration. I will be trying to add more Velcro so that the excess isn’t flapping around. The unsecured portion is nearly .75” long which looks sloppy. Otherwise a very chic, nice looking and comfortable sandal.Very nice purchaseUPDATE: these comfy sandals have held up very well after miles of walking. The Velcro strap wasn’t fitting properly but I made a workaround that makes them perfect. Several people has asked after these sandals and said they are cute. Still love them!

Great Shoe
First of all, I like Clark's shoes, they give me the support I need! This is my second pair of this particular style. I had worn my first pair for years and it was time to get a fresh looking pair. They are very comfortable, the size is right, and hopefully they still have this style when I need to replace them in years to come -- that's how much I like them! Both pair were/are black!

Really comfortable with minimal break-in
I bought these based on a review I saw elsewhere. We were traveling to Europe (which always involves a lot of walking) and I suffer from pretty tender feet. I was looking for something that wouldn't rub the balls of my feet raw or cause too much rubbing across my toes, but that were also a bit more stylish.I wear Birkenstocks a lot, but wanted something with straps for walking on a lot of cobblestone streets. With very minimal break-in, these were fantastic! No rubbing, good support, and the straps were just the right length for me. (I saw some others complain about where the velcro hits and wonder if perhaps they bought the wrong size.) Highly recommend!

Has Potential with a few adjustments
In theory these shoes are great, In practice they don't live up to what they should be. As received I would give them 3 1/2 stars but if you have time to make your own adjustments they can easily be 5 stars. The shoe bed fits true to size and yes they are extremely comfortable. They're also cute and match with nearly everything. The cons? The velcro placement and size makes absolutely no sense. As other reviewers mentioned the velcro strip is short and therefore leaves room for the strap to be lose around your ankle meaning the shoe moves a lot when you walk. It doesn't make sense why the velcro fastener wouldn't be made an inch or so longer for proper adjustment and for flexible sizing.I purchased these for a last minute trip and when they arrived I had my fingers crossed that the velcro wouldn't be an issue for me, unfortunately it was. They arrived the same day as my trip so I ran to the store and bought an adhesive velcro fastener which did the trick until I arrived in humid weather and as expected the adhesive velcro I added undid itself. For purposes of my trip the shoe was pretty much useless for this reason. However, now that I am back and have time I will add velcro once again and stitch it down to the shoe for future use. If you have the time to this simple fix I recommend this shoe and it would instantly be a 5 star shoe. My rating is based on the inconvenience of receiving a shoe for a trip last minute and not having time to make proper adjustments (When you buy something you want it to work as is not have to take extra steps to make it functional).

Very comfortable for a full day of walking!
I wear these shoes almost every day, and I've walked up to 14,000, 17,000, and even 20,000 steps in them without any significant discomfort. I have a torn tendon and hairline fractures in my knee, and normally, most shoes—even orthopedic ones—don't help alleviate the pain from my tendon and knee. But with these, I only experience minor discomfort if I walk over 10,000 steps or when I reach 15,000 to 20,000 steps, which I think is just normal pain from walking that much. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, almost like walking on a pillow, but with a nice firmness that provides good support. They’re not too soft like some other shoes, such as Crocs, might be.I highly highly recommend!
