Perfect clone of the Canon 580 EX II
The headline says it - functions, build quality and design all equal to one of Canons top 3 flashes (especially for newer digital cameras, but can be set up to work on any Canon camera). Reading all the specs, this seemed to be the best substitute for the least money anywhere.

Hello canon 580EX II dupe. 5 stars.
I have had a very reliable 580EX II speed light for about ten years. It still works just fine. Was looking for something to fill in for some back light for a very last minute road trip with my son for graduation. Without wanting to break the bank on a new flash, I checked this out. It’s literally identical to my 580ex II speedlite. Same weight, same feel, same build quality, same controls, and pennies compared to picking up a higher end flash or even a new speedlite from Canon. My 580 obviously is ten years old, huge signs of wear and tear. But the flash is still strong. The flash on the mk600 appears to be identical in strength with just some basic testing. Works as a master to my 430EX and works with my 5dmkii ( yeah, I keep my gear till things decide not to work anymore). So, as far as value goes, if you aren’t worried about a name, this is a very suitable and capable unit.

Good value for what it does
I wanted an inexpensive flash with HSS support to use with an older Canon EOS XTI, and this speedlight fit the bill. Because this flash is Canon specific, HSS and TTL modes work both on camera and off, unlike some others that only work off-camera since they have a generic shoe. That said, when mounted to the camera, this thing is pretty heavy after you load it up with batteries (I'm using Amazon Basics High-Capacity Ni-MH rechargeables). With the MK600 on the camera in master mode, I tried getting the IR communication to work with a Canon 270EXII flash I had in slave mode but was unsuccessful. The remote Canon flash would not trigger. Not sure if there was an incompatibility issue or I was just doing something wrong though. In any case, this wasn't much of an issue for me since I'm mostly using the MK600 flash off-camera with the Meike MK GT600 flash triggers anyway (which also work great).Overall I've been very pleased with this flash and have since picked up a few more to try out some more advanced lighting setups.
